Timing Purchase for October flight?

We plan to go to WDW from Wednesday over the Columbus Day weekend. That is often a popular time during the northeast. I don't want to buy too soon, but I am thinking that May, when we get another companion certificate on Delta might be too late. Either way, I will probably check Tues after 3 pm. Weekends are supposedly higher in price. Any thoughts?

I wouldn't wait one more day. Jet fuel prices are going higher and higher.

I agree. on the + side if the air fare drops you can alway get the creted for the diffrence ... I jsut paid 1225.20 for 3 of us from EWR I have never paid this much for a flight but with the price of jet A fule on the rise I book now.

I was just wondering the same thing. We prefer JetBlue out of HPN but their Oct. rates aren't out yet. Delta out of LGA is coming in at about $200 per ticket. It's a little further ride for us and we've had some frustrations in the past with Delta changing flight times but I'm wondering if we should jump on it anyway.

Anyone have a guess as to when JB will open October?

That has definitely been on my mind. I just hate to buy on weekends. If worse comes to worse, I can use air miles. There are seats available but at a higher tier. There seems to be an abundance of seats right now on most flights and on most airlines, and Jet Blue and SWA haven't released their October seats.

I checked the price this morning and they have dropped a bit on Delta. I grabbed the non stop both ways. The price dropped since yesterday, $30 per seat. Now it could drop further on Tuesday.....or not. The price I paid was acceptable to me; $249 RT. The flight times are perfect. The most I could probably save, with a less acceptable flight would be $60 per seat based on past history. By sticking with Delta and get a chance for an upgrade, triple miles on my business card and mileage accrual. AND peace of mind knowing it is done. I have to say in choosing our seats, there were very few seats on the right side of the plane available, particularly towards the front. On the return, to be near the front, we had to go to the left side of the plane so we can have two seats together with no one in between, (window/aisle)

I pulled the trigger on it just 10 minutes ago. The time on Tuesday to check is 3 pm. It could drop but its done and over!
