Timing of Canadian vs. American spring break?

Hi everyone! I am a Canadian trying to plan a winter/spring getaway next year to Hawaii and am concerned about crowds there. Can any American parents or educators tell me when you typically have your spring break? Ours is usually mid-march and in 2006 I believe it is the 2nd week of March. Is yours the same? Any help is appreciated!

Can I go with you? I hope you have a great vacation. Around here in MA we have a winter vacation in Febuary 20-24 and spring break is April 17-21. Collages could be different.HTH!
