Obsessing Over Our Disneymoon. One Day At A Time

So we know the restaurants that we want. A little background first. We'll be at the world for our honeymoon from Dec 7-14. DFI is a chef and I'm a foodie by default. We'll be on the DxDDP and will be skipping lunches so we can get in more signature restaurants. We usually snack throughout the day when we go to amusement parks anyway. We're just doing breakfast and dinner. I think if I calculated it right, we have one credit left over each, but we might use that for lunch at a CS on arrival day since we're scheduled to arrive a MCO at 11am. We have park hoppers, so we're not basing our ADRs off of what parks we'll be at.

So on to my question. When we call and make our ADRs I have no idea what time to look for. These are what we're trying to get:

Breakfast:
Whispering Canyon
Boma
Chef Mickey's
Grand Floridian Cafe
Crystal Palace
CRT
Boatwrights

Dinner:
Jiko
Narcoossee's
Flying Fish
Garden Grill
California Grill
Maya Grill
Yachtsman Steakhouse

I'm not so much concerned with the timing of our breakfast ADRs. I think with the exception of CRT, we're going to try for one before the park opens, we'll probably have ADRs for like 10am. It's the dinner timing that I have no clue about. If I remember correctly it's either the Garden or California Grill that you want to have an ADR around the time of wishes. Other than shows, is there something that I'm missing that I need to factor into the times of our dinner ADRs?

Also, if we were to take of one breakfast ADR, what do you suggest it be and why? CRT, Boma, and Boatwrights are staying. I'm going to try and see if we can get into the House of Blues Sunday Brunch on the day that we leave. I know that if that happens, it two extra credits each.

where are you staying? If you arent staying at WL I may let WC go...

I agree with the pp. My choice of which breakfast to drop would depend on where you're staying. Are you sure HOB is on the DXDDP? I didn't think they participated, but I'm definitely not an expert. Cali. Grill is the restaurant that you want to time the fireworks with dinner. I think Epcot has much better restaurants than Garden Grill. You may want to consider dropping that meal. If you're not staying at CSR, I would drop Maya Grill too. Some of the resort restaurants can be very time consuming to get to. Knowing which resort you're staying at, would help us give you more informed advice.

We're staying at the Poly, but Ohana's menu doesn't appeal to us at all. Maya Grill I know is kinda iffy, but they have plantains and we love them. HOB is not on the dinning plan, so that's why if I can get tickets, we'll have two extra credits. Did I cover everything?

staying at the Poly and not tempted by the Tonga Toast at Kona??

I'd drop WC breakfast and head over to GF - just a quick monorail trip over...

Yeap, one of the few people who has no desire to eat tonga toast. I've seen pics too.

Is there a difference in selection or quality between WC and GFC?

In that case, I'd drop WCC for breakfast. If you really had your heart set on it, it's not as hard to get to as many of the resort restaurants.

You may want to consider dropping Boatwrights in favor of Kona. It would be much more convenient & it gets rave reviews. If you definitely don't want to make any changes, ignore my posts. ;)

Sorry, I didn't catch the "extra" part.

I chose Whispering Canyon, because I would have done that for dinner. We loved it.

I agree, I would choose WC for dinner not breakfast and drop Garden Grill. WC is a lot of fun and the food was great. GG, the food was far at best and the character interaction was ok (same characters as Chef Mickey's).
