I am planning my early December itinerary. On our last day our flight is at 7:00pm (whihc means we have to be in the lobby ready at 4:00pm. If we plan to sit at the entrance of the Magic Kingdom, do you think we'll have time to watch the 3pm Share a Dream Come True Parade and be back at the Wilderness Lodge by 4pm?? This is the "best day" for us to see it as our other MK day we have ADRs for Cindy's Royal Table Lunch at 215pm. We aren't sure how much time to allow for lunch and want to at least get a decent view for the parade (doens't have to be curbside, but you get the idea). Which plan sounds better to you all on the boards?? Thanks!

I think that you will be cutting it very close.

Will your own car be in the parking lot to use?

In my opinion, you are really going to be pushing it. Unless you get a spot at the end of Main Street near the entrance to the park, I think it may take some time to get from there to the WL, especially if others leave at the same time. And not sure how long the wait would be to get back to the WL, as the boats leave every 15-20 minutes, plus they stop at the Fort Wilderness Campgrounds too. Plus, I'm guessing, that you will be storing your luggage, so that's going to take a little time to retrieve those (especially if it's busy).

I'm not trying to be negative and you may be able to pull it off, but I think it will be really tight and alot of rushing.

We are taking Disney Transportation and had planned on being on Main street right by the exit. I heard there is also a bus that runs from WL to MK directly (wasn't there when I stayed there in 02, but it seems to be around now according to others on this board). On the other hand, do you think we could show up to our ADR early for Cindy's and hope for a "decent" view right after lunch? Again, this is early December, so not during "peak" season so the parade crowds may be a touch lighter. Any other suggestions??

I usually watch this parade near Frontierland...what time does it usually start and end at main street? I would really like to do it this way (kind of a nice ending to our trip) but don't want to risk missing our free shuttle!!

I couldn't do it! Too much pressure, I wouldn't enjoy the parade!

It "exits" on Main Street between the Fire House and the Barbershop after circling the flag "green" in front of the RR Station.

If it starts at 3:00pm in Frontierland near Splash (and it WILL) then it won't even REACH the RR Station until about 3:30pm... and that's just the beginning of the 12-15 minute parade.

You simply won't make it back by 4pm (or even 4:15).

Well, at least I know now instead of trying it and missing the shuttle! Thanks for the responses, we will probably just have to leave Epcot earlier than planned on our MVMCP day to see the parade...especially since it will be a bit different! I don't want to miss the new(ish) parade!

They are changing the parade. By December it will be the Disney Dreams come True parade.

Exactly!!! :thumbsup2

i'd show up early for the Cindy ADR, and would bet on being done in time to see the parade. I wouldn't chance missing the shuttle.

That's a good idea. Doing that on the day they are NOT attempting to depart WDW.

But as much as CRT costs, and at the somewhat slow "pace" of the meal and meeting the "characters, I don't know.
Even with the CHANCE getting seated a bit earlier (say 1:55) an hour in the restaurant would get them OUT at about 3pm. That is enough time to wiggle through the Main Street crowd and (maybe) find an OK spot to see the parade by the time it actually REACHES Main Street.
(Main Street is usually already PACKED by 2:45 or so.)

Its chancy, but it might work OK... certainly better than the "last-day" scenario.
