Timing from Epcot to MK on the monorail?

What is a good estimate on how long it takes to get from Epcot to MK using the monorail? We do not have an ADR at MK, but want to eat at Epcot before we go to MK. So I'm trying to figure out what time to make our Epcot ADR.

Transportation between the two parks would depend on where I was eating in Epcot.

If you are close to the International Gateway exit, you may want to consider walking to the Beach Club and catching a bus to MK. The bus will drop you off near the MK gate.

The monorail requires a transfer at TTC. So, I’d ask you, which restaurant are you going to make your ADR at?

We will be eating at San Angel Inn. We would rather ride the monorail over the buses. I actually enjoy riding the monorail.

IMO I would figure it would take about an hour to get from the San Angel to the MK. Figure a 10 to 15 minute walk from the restaurant to the EPCOT monorail station, if the monorail is not at the station you could have another 10 to 15 minute wait. When you get to the ticket and transportation center you will need to switch monorails and possibly wait for the MK monorail, 10 to 15 minutes. Finally you are on the MK monorail , but you will be stopping at the Poly and GF before you get to the MK, another 10 to 15 minutes.

Sometimes they only run a monorail between Epcot and MK every 30 minutes. Be prepared for travel time to take an hour or a bit more from exiting Epcot to entering MK if you go by monorail.

I would agree to expect about an hour. Depends how long you have to wait for the monorail at EPCOT and the TTC. You have to get off the monorail and get in line for the express monorail at the TTC.
As much as I like the monorail, taking the bus from Boardwalk of Beach Club would be much faster.

My husband and I once wanted illuminations at 9, raced to the monorail, caught it, made the transfer and made it to main St just as wishes started at 10. We were young (no kids yet) and the Disney transportation gods were smiling on us that night. Normally I would expect it to take longer!

I love doing things like this! Beating the clock, Mission Impossible etc. I usually plan on an hour going between parks or hotel hopping but sometimes you luck out.

We have done MK to World Showcase and back many times. I would budget 90 minutes, because that is the longest it took us (if you have a long wait for the monorail, and long lines at park security). Will probably be closer to 1 hour, but 90 minutes is what you need to be 100% sure you'll make your ADR on time.
