Staying at DLH next week and just want to double check my times for getting good use of early entry. From reading all the posts, it looks like I should be there 45 minutes ahead of EE time (in my case, 7:15 since the park opens at 9 with EE at 8) at DCA, but maybe only 30 minutes for DL since it's been less busy?

What time should I plan to actually leave the lobby of DLH? Assuming a fairly leisurely walk with two kids in tow and a stroller.

What about if we want to stop in DTD and grab a bite to eat TO-GO, maybe from La Brea Bakery or Brennan's Express? Are the lines long early in the AM?

Thanks!

With those arrival times you will likely be first or almost first in line. If it was me I would do 30 minutes early for DCA and 15-20 for DL. You will not be first, but one of the first 5-10 groups in your line.

The only thing that might be a wildcard starting on Monday is that the APs become unblocked. Could it be that part of the reason there weren't too many AP holders coming for APEE was because the SoCal ones were blocked all summer? Just wondering if they might be descending upon the parks starting this week....

How close to the front you need to be depends on how quickly you will move towards RSR. We were in line about half an hour prior to a 7 AM early opening on Saturday, Sunday and Monday and then walked at a reasonable pace towards Carsland. We only reached Route 66 for the rope drop on Monday, the other days we were in line near Flo's and and a little closer, but still on Route 66, the next day. We were off the ride about 7:45 both days.

That said, early entry is almost always more crowded when it is at 8 than when it is at 7. -- Suzanne

Interesting to know, thank you.

Yes, I'm counting on EE being a little busier we're there because of APs being unblocked. Actually it will be the second week they're unblocked, so maybe not as bad as this coming week. I'm also planning on doing my hotel EEs the opposite of the AP EEs (which puts me with the MM people instead) because of this.
