I haven't been to DL since they started enforcing the FP window. How do you time how long it should take you to get from place to place to get back in time, especially considering you may run into parades, etc?

Travelling from Star Tours to Splash with DW, DS17, and DS20 last Saturday night took us maybe 15 minutes and that's basically from one side of the park to the other. it would be about the same travelling from Main Street in DL all the way to Screamin' at the back of CA. We were never held more than a few minutes at the gates. Add a bit of time in for parades and if you have younger kids, strollers, etc...

It doesn't take that long, maybe 10-15 mins depending on how busy it is. We just got back from our first trip since the enforcement and it was really no big deal. Knowing when the parades/shows are and having a general idea on what rides are usually busiest and what ones are fast moving helped. For instance we hit things like Indy, Star Tours, Pixie Hollow and The Fantasy Faire first thing then selectively pulled FPs for things that had them most of the day and don't get packed as fast. We used Call Otto in line (all three apps we had were very inconsistent) to get return times then pulled them according to our general plans for the day. We actually only pulled maybe a half dozen passes in a four day trip doing it this way.
