Timing for Christmas Week

I've never been to Disney to see the Christmas decorations, so I'm very, very excited to be going this year. My parents moved to FL this summer, so my family and my brother's family are spending Christmas in the sunshine state!

I'm aware it will be crazy busy! If we ride more than our 3 Fps, that would be a bonus! We know we want to be there at rope drop to attempt a ride or two before our FP's begin.

We'll be a group of 14, heading to MK on the 29th. So, how early should we plan to get to TTC to be in a good position for rope drop? I'm used to my timing for summer trips, but don't have a feel for how crazy it will be (as I said, we're expecting insanity). One hour, two hours???

Make sure you keep an eye on the park hours. They will most likely change opening to 8:00 and there will probably be an early EMH for onsite guests that starts at 7:00.

I can't help with how early you need to be at TTC as we are usually onsite guests, but if it were me, and the changes above do occur, I'd be there no later than 7 am and maybe even a little earlier.

They will not run transportation from the TTC until about 15-30 minutes before the 8am opening to help stagger the crowds and allow on site guests priority entry.
