Timing...dinner at GFL before Wishes Dessert?

We thought for sure it would be booked, but amazingly we were able to reserve the Wishes dessert party We had been planning on dinner at 1900 Park Fare, ADR at 5, but we have to be at Tomorrowland Terrace at 7pm. Anyone have an idea on timing? We could take the monorail right to GFL right? Would we have enough time to make the party or should we plan on dinner somewhere in the MK instead?

It should be doable time wise. Most buffets can be done in an hour if you don't dawdle. That gives you a whole hour to get back to MK on the monorail (it's the next stop) and get down mainstreet. BUT: you are going to be so full from the buffet, will you have any room for all those desserts?

I have to agree that a 5:00 dinner followed by the dessert buffet at 7:00 is way too much food. You would probably finish dinner around 6-6:30 depending on how quickly you're seated. You wouldn't be hungry enough to enjoy the dessert buffet an hour later. I would think about doing an early lunch and a light midafternoon snack or a late lunch around 1:30.

Why book ressies right before the dessert party?? It's a meal in and of itself - true, it's all desserts, but I could never go to another venue right after your dinner ressie. That would be a total waste to me - just MHO

We are booked Feb 5th and we are eating a late lunch then the dessert party. In June we ate at 5:00 and we were still full at the 8:00 time we had and couldnt enjoy all the desserts.

Thanks for the advice! I am bummed about 1900 Park Fare but we probably would be too full - I can just imagine nagging the kids, "Don't spoil your dessert!!" LOL

So we'll plan on a later lunch and light snacks around 5.
