Friends,

Has anyone noticed that there has been no new listings at the TTS for the past 3 or 4 days. I understand the weather situation, but I didn't think it was that bad in the Orlando area. Is this unusal? For those of us waiting for that perfect resale the wait is horrible.

Carlos, I haven't been following the resellers very closely the last few weeks so I can't comment on the lack of new listings at the TSS. You might try looking at some of the other reseller Web sites (for example, Jaki at www.atimeshare.com). I'd also contact the resellers directly and let them know what you are looking for. Neither one of the contracts we purchased ever made it to the web site.

One thing I noticed is that the contracts at www.atimeshare.com are being listed at higher prices than are those at the TSS. I believe this more accurately reflects Disney's recent price increases for add-ons which might make it easier to pass ROFR these days.

They did close early on Friday and were closed on Saturday due to the Hurricane? At least that is what our broker told us. Haven't spoken with her today to know if that happened, but it could atest for some of it...

Thanks! Do you or anyone else have an experiences with Atimeshare? I've heard good comments about TTS, but haven't heard about Atimeshare.

A Timeshare Store has *always* been priced higher than TTS. (In fact, it was one of the things that DH and I considered in purchasing our resale this past July.)

I've noticed the TTS's prices do, in fact, seem to have increased since the ROFR-madness made its appearance, with OKW now priced at as much as $75ppt, and SSR contracts with 2004 pts remaining having been priced above $80ppt.

Carlos: We purchased one of our two contracts through Jaki and I can highly recommend her. If you do a search on her name, Web site or the word "resales", you should find a number of posts regarding the various resellers, including peoples' experience with them. I can only remember seeing a few negative comments about her in the last 5 months. There are other resellers out there as well.

I'm not "dissing" the TSS at all as they generally have the largest inventory of DVC resales and we came close on several occasions to purchasing through them -- simply letting you know that there are others out there who do the same thing!

Large areas around Orlando are without power right now. The entire area has been significantly disrupted by the hurricane last weekend.

I'm sure they'll have new listings posted as soon as possible. You may also want to call TTS and let them know what you are looking for- many of their listings never make it to the website since they have a number of buyers they can contact when the right contract comes in.
