Looking into buying a resale and was wondering who has used them? Which guide to use any + or -'s. Any info would be great.\
Thanks!!!!

I didn't use The Timeshare Store, but Pat Spell's name frequently comes up on these boards.

I have purchased three resales through Jerry Sydow at TTS. Excellent service every time.

Good Luck!

I've worked with Pat Spell on three purchases thru the Timeshare Store. Pat was one of the original DVC guides back in '91 and knows the system very well.

She did my last 2 resales, knows "almost" everything about DVC.
The only thing she didn't know was if you buy a resale the contract number changes from the oiginal. She knows everything else and is very easy to work with. Regards, Rich

We were referred to Jerry by Shontell when she didnt have a resale with the points we were looking for. All went smoothly and we would use them again if they had a resale we wanted.

I am in the process of closing on an OKW resale - this is my 2nd resale through The Timeshare Store - both times have dealt with Jerry Sydow - very nice and professional - in fact from start to finish every single person that I have spoken with at the Timeshare Store have been polite, informative and professional! I HIGHLY recommend them without any reservations.:D

Just did a resale purchase with Pat Spell. No complaints here. Everything went very smoothly.

Did my resale through Pat Spell a few years ago and she was wonderful..

I don't think it always does. I know our cards all say member since XXX with XXX being the year the original members bought. If you buy a resale the same use year as what you already own they can change it to the same number.

Hi Dean, I was talking about contract number.
I called accounting because the contract number on the P&S was a different one than Disney issued when I got the resales. The gentleman in accounting said that the contract number changes with a resale. The old number cease's to exist. You are right if it was the same use year you would have the same member number,I have a June and December so I have two member numbers both linked with my SS number.
I have a feeling it may get confusing for a while but with Bill's program after he upgrades it I should do OK.
Regards, Rich

If this is always the case now I think this is a change over a few years ago.

Bought 150 points at VWL a few months ago and worked with Jerry at The Timeshare Store. Very professional and nice.

Looking for some more points now at Vero - had better get with Jerry soon, ehhhh?
