Can any help me I have a few questions?

Has anyone had any experience of staying at Wyndham Bonnet Creek Resort?
Is it worth staying there? Is it true there is now housekeeping?

Is there shuttle bus service from the airport to this hotel?

Is there restaurant on premises or grocery store nearby? We do not drive, so it would be difficult getting around?

:confused3 :scared1:

Never stayed there but have stayed at a few Time Shares thru skyauction.

I always check tripadvisor

Just my opinion but would not stay at one if I was doining lots of park-hopping. Staying on-site is just so much easier with ME etc. Typically I rent a Timeshare when we want to do other things in Orlando or just relax. It is nice having a full kitchen laundry etc. Now DVC with lots of points is the ideal solution.

I would not stay 'offsite' from Disney without a rental car personally.. you are way too dependent on transportation choices that you have ZERO control over.

That's true of staying 'on-Disney' to a degree as well but I have a very high comfort level with the Magical Express service as well as the resort buses to and from the parks.

With any off-site resort shuttle service ... the frequency and timing is highly variable... as noted in this TripAdvisor review..

We stayed at Bonnet Creek the week of June 17 to 24th,2007.
The resort itself is very nice, the rooms are quite comfortable, we had seven people with our party, including a 2 year old, and portable cribs and high chairs are provided free of charge.
The only draw back I would say is the shuttle service back to the resort from the Disney parks. If you go to the parks early in the morning, be prepared to be there the entire day, because the first shuttle back to the resort if not until around 4:30 or 5:00 in the afternoon.
It is very close to Disney, but it is not Disney, you do not get any of the perks you get when you stay on Disney property, so even if you have a car, there is no free parking at the parks, which is $10 a day, and there is no early opening special times.
Other than that we would recommend the resort, even through it is a timeshare, you do not have to go to listen to the sales pitch, for which they give you $75.00.
The shuttle service needs more times back to the resort, ealier in the day.

As with everything - your mileage may vary. :)

::yes:: You got that right, Canadian Guy!

I always stay offsite in timeshare resorts. I usually save TONS of money by doing this, and then always have the kitchen facilities to help save with food costs as well. Although I haven't stayed at the above mentioned, I will say that most time shares that I have stayed at have been wonderful and very well kept, I believe mostly so that they can tempt you to buy a rental. I have NEVER attended any of their free dinners before because I do not deal with pushy people well, so therefore, I don't want someone to try to sell me anything, despite them trying every way but backwards to get us to go.

Back to the transportation question, I know you say you don't drive, but, I have been extrememly fortunate in the past with car rentals. I have never paid more than $150 for a full size for a max 12 day period. I use this site religiously to help me with codes and to get ideas of where to go for the rental. I would never trust the transportation from any hotel....that sort of restriction doesn't sit well with me, and they tend to not work for the hours I want it. But, for whatever reason you don't drive, if you are ok with those time restrictions, then you will probably be ok.

I'm a fan of staying off site, and I have a timeshare on south I-Drive. I think the two biggest benefits of staying on site are:

1. Extra Magic Hours
2. Disney transport

Well, in researching the upcoming trip (April 08), I'm encouraged to avoid EMH, since these will be the most crowded places and times. I also see many people who either don't like Disney transport (both magical express and inter-park, usually busses), or who don't like the loss of freedom and control of having your own vehicle.

3. I also see many people staying on site trying to save money by getting a fridge in their room.

Well, if you take away 1 and 2, and solve 3, I think you're better off staying off site at some place with a kitchen (not necessarily a timeshare, that's just my own preference).

Come on, people, I'm looking for some support here! :cheer2:

We love staying off-site too. We've stayed at Orange Lake and Cypress Palms and rented houses too. Our kids our young and nothing beats having them in their own rooms at night, while we can stay up. We love having laundry facilities and kitchen (although we typically only eat breakfast in). I can't imagine doing a timeshare without a car though.

You might want to consider DVC. Problems mentioned are solved.
