Timeshare ? e-bay

We have been looking at timeshares around Disney, has anyone bought a timeshare on e-bay? What has been your experience? They seem to have a number of ones that are going for a low price.

Never looked into an e-bay timeshare. Maybe there are are some that are legit. I just think there are some things you don't risk buying on e-bay.

I would really check the feedback. Also, make sure the money is not paid upfront before you see a contract. After the deposit, be certain that the balance goes to escrow. Be certain that there are no liens and the maintenance fees are current. Be sure that you what use year you are paying for; ie that you aren't paying maintenance fees owed for a year not included in the contract.

It is really risky to buy timeshare on ebay. I have heard stories of people really getting ripped off. We chose to purchase ours via a reputable business. There are other options out there. There is an ad data base on TUG2.net that lists resales, there is redweek.com, timesharewholesalers.com as well as the timeshare store that sponsors the DVC board. They also sell other timeshares.

Do you homework. There is a lot of information on TUG about buying resale. Study awhile before you buy.

Liki Tiki... paid 200.00 for a 1 bedroom in a new building there.. I went through the vacation store which they had auctioned off the timeshare.. but this one I didnt have to do the tour...

No problems at all with them...


I just won a 1 bedroom at silver lake there and I am kidda mad because it is a tour one but Ill do it the first morning and get it over with it...


Any way I just cant wait to go back ther ... florida I mean...

I won a week last September and had no problem. You have to read everything and read the feedback. The week we won I only paid $100 and they paid all the closing fees, which was nice. You just have to do you research and make sure you know if you can use it every year or every other year and there are other types of usages. I would also recommend the resorts that are associated with RCI. Again just do research!

I have been looking at purchasing a resale. Is this what you are looking for? or are you just looking for a rental.
From a resale view, I have notice better deals on the TimeShares Store. On of the boards sponsers. If I were you I would check with them. Do the math on the resales on ebay, you'll be surprised.

I didn't spend a lot of time looking at them but I did go to Ebay to check it out. While there are several timeshare sales going on, the DVC "sales" are advertised sales thru the Timeshare Store. They are simply advertising their listings on Ebay.
