Times way off when Modifying Lightling Lane??

This was absolutely my experience as well, the week before Memorial Day. Almost zero chance to modify my initial picks the week BEFORE my trip or any park visits despite seeing good times pop up and continually trying. I had ADRs booked for every day for many meals.

It’s annoying and frustrating when you are at home and seeing these useful times pop up and NEVER being able to nab them. It also does not put great faith into thinking that booking the LLMP in advance is worthwhile. I was not happy with the times I got and really regretted putting out that much money. I even tried cancelling all ADRs in a day but I was still not able to snag better times, once my initial choices were made.

The day of our park visits, however, everything fell into place. As soon as we tapped into that first ride I could overlap and modify things completely during that day. We ended our days feeling like our LLMP purchase worked out great for our group (we bought for MK, HS and Epcot but found we probably didn’t get our money’s worth out of Epcot)

It is a rollercoaster of emotions for sure and I’m not sure what Disney’s strategy is in showing availability with no chance of getting these bookings. I chalked it up to bad Disney IT and a poorly designed App, which I don’t think is how they want guests to view things but…?

I was glad to find this thread because I was running into the same issue and it was driving me nuts. Glad to know I will hopefully be able to modify some stuff day of. I chalk it up to bad Disney IT, especially if you can make changes day of, very frustrating system.

Yes it can be challenging if you try to modify an existing LLMP to squeeze it into a slot that it will not fit with your other (2) LLMP selections after you complete your day's purchase. That is what the 5 minute hold is for when you are booking your initial (3) LLMP selections. It allows you to adjust your LLMP attractions before you actually complete the purchase.

The logic of the LL portion of the App will show you the first available LLMP return time but it then applies rules based on your existing LLMP return times, ADR selections for that day, and almost anything you have added to your My Day Tab (shown on the same MDE screen as the Tip Board Tab) that has a time range for availablity.

It should be easy to add your modified LLMP return time after your other existing selections. It will not allow you to slip in a (1) hour return window between other selections that have less than (1) hour between return times after you complete the purchase step with only a few exceptions before 12 AM on your park day as @mickeysmith indicated. Further flexibilty is enabled when you actually tap in to the park.

Do you have any items listed on your My Day Tab in addition to ADR selections?

Also LLMP and LLSP follow different overlap limits. LLSP selections are the most flexible on Day of park vist changes. And Finally for Select Attractions additional LLMP availabilty may drop (added capacity) at differnet times throught your park day.

This is so weird because I literally had this exact same scenario happen to me as well. I went to book the LL on Thurs for my EPCOT day and was trying to get any lighting lane at 9am so I could get past the tiers and grab a Frozen LL. The earliest I saw was the Pixar film thing at 910 so I grabbed it and kept going.
Afterwards I went back to modify that one and it showed available at 9, great! So I went to select it and it bumps the time to 130 pm. I figured I was just to slow and went back a screen, refreshed but there was 9am still showing up. Tried to get it but the times went down to 130 again. I tried this at least 10 or 12 times with the same result. It's the first LL of the day so no overlap and I have no dinning till 530pm so that's not it.
In the end I just left the 910 time. I know I can tap in at 905 so I'll just cross my fingers all the frozen passes aren't gone in the 5 minutes I have to wait. Seriously though it seemed like some kind of weird glitch.
We just booked LL's yesterday and no glitches thank goodness. Well actually there was one major glitch in that the payment wouldn't process because my bank thought someone was committing fraud. They kept seeing these charges appear one after the other and sent me a fraud alert. I said no it was me and the payment finally went through. I know it's not the issues you are having but it's always something :rolleyes1
