were going to be on the British Isle cruise in Sept and was wondering what does Disney recommend to book return flights

we haven been on a cruise since 2018 and at that time they recommeded times of after 12 noon

with so much changing in the world is this still a good plan

were taking disney transfers back to the airport
thanks for any advice or tips

From the DCL website:

For the Southampton to Southampton sailings except September 3, 2023, we recommend the following flight-time guidelines:

  • Latest arrival time to London Heathrow International Airport or London Gatwick International Airport on embarkation day: 11:00 AM
  • Earliest departure time from London Heathrow International Airport or London Gatwick International Airport on debarkation day: 2:15 PM

We decided to book a hotel at Heathrow for the day we return. We'll fly out the next day. This gives us the flexibility to pick a cheaper flight. The prices ranged a few thousand dollars depending on the time of day.

Did you book your flight? Prices are up and down I think we missed the window of opportunity. :sad1:

actually Im still watching the fares--they havent moved since we booked the cruise which was the beginning of April
I think Ill just stop putting it off and just booked whats there if nothing has changed by now I doubt it will

just curious what was your air fare whenever I need to book airfare Im always afraid something will get messed up---but Im always so glad when it over and done

right now and this will sound dumb but Im actually stressing over booking seats--I always like to book my won seats even if it means paying for it

2800 for 2 on hold for 4 days Also like to choose my own seats. I look every day and watch fares. Have to buy FF miles So confusing. where are you flying from ? to?

Yes this sure is very confusing. We are flying from Chicago to London. Heathrow. We take coach USA to Chicago from Milwaukee that works better then flying from MKE to Chicago since it’s less then a half he flight. Right now the best I’ve found is 2700 for 2 on AA and that’s with a slight upgrade. To the 2nd level Were along the same area as you Where are you going from to. And what airlines. I remember one time when we went somewhere you could hold the fare for 24 hrs. That was nice for free 😀. All this planning though my head is spinning but it sure feels good to be able to go on the cruise after almost 3 years. Have fun planning
