Times for breakfast on disembarkation day

It's been so long, I've forgotten.

Is it first seating at 6am or 8am?

Also, I've seen in other threads that it's touch and go as to whether Cabanas is open on the last day? Can anyone comment? What's the best "last morning" strategy for most people?

Not sure about Cabana's, but I think the time depends on which MDR you are in. When we got off the DREAM last month we were assigned EG and they started at 7:00. As to strategy I think it depends on where you are going. We drove and were in the garage and due to the low head count we were off the ship and back at the airport (Navy Exchange) about 8:40.

We were early seating on the Dream in January too. With just 2 of us, breakfast was fine and we were walking off the ship about 8:15. We did it with a party of 12 in 2019 and that felt rushed. Not sure I would do early walk off though - flights up to DC usually don't leave until mid-afternoon, so no reason for us to try to get off early.

With Main (early) Dining, we have usually been scheduled for breakfast at 6:45 am or 7:00 am on debarkation day, depending on which dining room we have been for the final dinner. This has been the case over three of the four ships (I’ve not been on the Dream) and twenty DCL cruises.

Is it fair to say you could be off the ship and through customs by 8:30 or is 9:00 more realistic?

We were at the airport at 8:57am in February (our uber was totally speeding though.) Cabanas opened at 6:30. We took our time eating, headed back to the room to grab luggage/use restroom, then headed to the atrium. We waited in line for 5 minutes and things started moving.

We thought we had to eat at the same MDR (7 am) that we were in for the last dinner, but the string on my mask broke and I walked up to Cabanas from my cabin on deck 10 to see if I could find a cast member to get a mask. (We had packed our masks in our luggage left out the night before) That's when I saw that Cabanas was open. So we ate there and took our time. We saw people just getting started with their breakfast at Cabanas after 8. We finally pried ourselves away and debarked at around 9. They never called us by our luggage tags. When we picked up our luggage the tables were mostly empty. We breezed right through customs.

I would much rather do this than a super early breakfast. Last cruise, we were exhausted by the time we made it off the ship!

As far as best strategy,I prefer sleeping in, saying good to the stateroom host and going to Cabanas at my leisure. I feel cruises end so abruptly it’s nice to have that last meal at my pace and leave when I want (well sorta).

It is never really advertised or promoted but Cabanas is always open on debark day. We went to Cabanas on our September Dream cruise and January Magic cruise. They open pretty early and you don't need to drag your stuff with you.

We usually head up there between 7-7:15, eat and then pick up our carry ons from the cabin and head off the ship or when they call our luggage tag color.

I just do not like going to the MDR on the last morning. We say our goodbyes to our serving team the night before when we had them the tip envelope.

On the dream this past weekend. Where we had dinner the last night was the same place for breakfast on the last morning. We had first seating at dinner and our breakfast time on the last day was at 7:10 am. Cabanas was open at 6:30... I only know this because I thought about going up and getting a cup of coffee before we went to breakfast.

I'll go so far as to say that some of the crew flat-out give misinformation and say Cabanas won't be open on debarkation day even if you ask them outright.

We always go to Cabanas since we typically have early dining and there is nothing fun about getting to dining room that early on the last morning!
