Timeline for Direct Purchase sold out resorts

I just requested to be put on a waitlist for AKV --direct from DVC.
small point contract 70 points.
Anyone have any thoughts on timelines?

No one can say for certain. For a contract that size, though, I would bet right after 2/25 You will be moved close to the front of the line. Right now you are behind many people looking for 25 points contract add ons.

AKV has been moving fast this week even with the big demand for 25 point contracts ahead of the policy change next week so it probably won't be long. It and Saratoga move the fastest. If you were looking at Grand Floridian, Californian or certain months of BLT, etc., you could be waiting many, many months. I've been on the waitlist for my month of BLT since well before the price increase or the policy change and am still not near the front.
