I haven't seen this on here yet but allearsnet and the Orlando Sentinal are reporting that the Timekeeper attraction in Magic Kingdom is closing for good. I was wondering how everyone felt about this and what you think will be replacing this attraction.

It was a pretty interesting attraction the first time, but it had no staying power. If they're actually going to put in a new show there, that would be great!

Timekeeper is okay, but I'd rather see that and Stitch's Great Escape both disappear forever and bring 2 great new Tomorrowland attractions. Something along the lines of Carrousel of Progress, whaddaya think?

I think Timekeeper should have been closed a long time ago. Nice but time to be replaced.

I would like it to be replaced by some kind of robotic show. Robots do so much now so why not have a robot concert with them singing and playing instruments.
If that didn't work how about a ride where we can pretend we are comets whizzing into earth at high rates of speed only at the last minute we change directions.

Seems to me they could stand to clone Buzz, and put a second track right next door.

Do you have a link for the Orlando Sentinel article - I couldn't find the article searching for "timekeeper".

:confused3 When was it last open?
We've been to MK about a zillion times, and I don't think it's ever been open when we were there! Oh well, hope they replace it with something that actually remains open most of the time! :goodvibes

In all my time in the MK, I only got to see Timekeeper once. That was about ten years ago. After that it seemed as if it were always closed and used as a meet and greet area. I remember liking it and would have liked to see it again. I wonder what the reasoning was to keep it down so long?
Fastpass, I like your idea of a robot show or attraction of some sort. I think that would be a great throwback to the original ideas behind tomorrowland and could be very fun if done well. The new Monsters Inc. attractions at Disneyland and in Paris are making me wonder if it will be coming to WDW soon. As long as they don't let it stand empty.
