Timeframe to Receive Closing Docs

What is a reasonable timeframe to receive closing docs with the holidays? My contract past ROFR on 12/19 and I have heard nothing since. Now I know we've had both Christmas and New Years since then so I'm not freaking out or anything. I'm just curious if this sounds like a normal timeframe. I did email my broker yesterday but haven't heard from him either. He could of course still be out of the office.

Different title companies are in different timelines. Follow up with them and not just broker.

I have waited as long as two weeks to get them.

We cleared ROFR this past Monday and received closing docs the same day with dvcclosings.com. On another occasion I used the board sponsor's in-house title company (magicvacationtitle.com) and it took more than ten days to get closing docs after ROFR. Lots of variation.

If you are using Magic Vacation Title be prepared to wait. This is from our last purchase in 2023 with them.

Sent to ROFR: 3/2/23
Passed ROFR: 3/16/23
Closing docs received: 4/13/23

I emailed them several times asking for updates and each time it was they were receiving a higher volume than normal. Unfortunately the broker we used insisted on them and I didn’t know I could request another title company as the one paying closing costs. Lesson learned.

You are allowed to say, but should use the urls for the company name and if they're filtered then it's a banned topic.

I would have definitely bet it was magicvacationtitle.com given the long delay. I'll never use them again.
