We'll be flying Southwest for the first time and I know the day before we leave we have 24 hours to check in online. However on our trip home I'm going to have a friend of mine check in online for us because we'll be enjoying MNSSHP at the 24 hour mark. pirate: My flight is at 3:30 p.m Saturday. My friend from home is an hour ahead of Orlando time. Does that mean she can check us in Friday at 2:30 p.m. her time or must she wait until 3:30 her time which will be 4:30 Orlando time. I don't know if this is making any sense, but we have never flown before so I'm full of confusion myself.
Thanks

I'm almost positive the time is based on the local flight time, so it would be 2:30 her time. Even if I'm wrong (and someone will let you know), she just needs to wait and try again.
Have fun!

Every time I've flown between time zones, the times listed in each arrival and departure location have been local times for that location, not the local time for the passenger's home.

I think you friend is an hour behind Eastern time, but, anyway, she can check you all in at 2:30 her time.
