we were on the float in the studios parade in 2006 my DD was hoping to get on it again this year bless( will break the news gentley ) but we where only saying that now toy story and mary popins are in the dream parade it could do to be different we will have to wait and see

I think it will be great to have a new parade, we have seen this parade a few times now so will be nice to have a new parade to look forward to for our next trip.

Yea sadly it is going on March 30th - though it had a good run of almost 6 years!!

The new parade will not premiere until around March 2009, so WDS will be without a main parade for about a year!

Why if they are planning to phase it out have they not prepped the new parade?

The move from the parade in the main park to the 15th "Just like we dreamed it" parade didn't involve a gap as far as I recall.....

It does seem strange that there won't be a parade in the studios, but I too had thought that with Toy Story and Mary Poppins in the OUAD they were doubling up. I hope they find somewhere new for Tinkerbell to make an appearance.

I notice that HSM is starting in April, so maybe they're hoping that'll help fill the niche.

A year??? well i suppose they do have quite a few street shows going on there like HSM etc so maybe more shows less parades!

I must admit I found the one at the studios a little bit dull and would welcome someting new - i enjoyed it more this year because i had my 7 year old niece with me and it was disney and characters to interact with to her-but otherwise just for adults i always found it sort of strung together....especially compared to the main parks ones!!!

Seems strange - even if the parade has run its course (pardon the pun) I would have thought that an old parade was better than none at all.

Totally agree. Although the parade may be wearing a bit thin, I'd think it was better to keep it going, mainly to keep people in the studios for just a little bit longer.

If it will be gone in June, it is sad, as I will be taking my eldest sister who hasn't been to DLRP since before WDS opened, I wanted her to see it!

Shame the parade is going, but will be good to see something new. Maybe with all the work they are doing at the studios they want to create a parade which fits around all the new attractions.
