Hi all! After early seating for breakfast, I am scheduled to fly home at 3:30pm and would love to do something other than sit in MCO. I need a quick stop off to entertain my kids. Any ideas on what I could do with a 3 and 2 year old for that time? This lost time seems like a daunting nightmare and is really casting a shadow on my trip because I a focusing on how tired kids will be just hanging in MCO. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi,
We rented a room for the last day at the Haytt at the airport. we got early check in so we can play by the pool or just rest in the room and watch tv. We don't leave until almost six oclock.

We just got back from Wonder with 2 1/2 year old and baby. Our problem was even worse because our flight was at 6 PM.
What we did is check in our luggage at the port, then take the transfer to Resorts, ask to get off at Downtown Disney (they agreed even though it's not technically a resort), then had an absolutely fantastic time on the rides, stores, inc. Lego and Disney and the best toy store I've ever seen, had lunch at Puck, ice cream at Ghiradelli (sp?), then hopped in a cab around 4:30. It was $35 to airport.

I second the airport Hyatt idea. We did that when we went on the Wonder last September. We played in the pool for a while (remember to put your swimsuits in your carry on -- not your checked luggage -- check that at the port), went to the food court in the airport and brought lunch back to the room. We thought it was a very relaxing way to spend the time before our flight (3:30pm) and not that expensive. I think the room rate was around $60 for the day.

We would do it again......

We did essentially the same thing, but to save some $$ and have more freedom, we rented a car from Avis near the port. Total cost with gas was $45.
