Time to get on ship

What time can you actually get on ship. We are staying in the Radisson , and i want to make shuttle reservations.

They have been opening the doors up at about 11:30 here lately. That was the time they started letting us on. I can't see them waiting much past noon. I would advise getting to the terminal around 10:30 with all of your paper work filled out before hand and ready to go. Makes checking in that much easier and efficient.

We stayed at the Radisson twice and got to the port by 10:30 am. The second time we were the 1st in line to board and my kids got chosen to do the countdown to board.

We're on the Wonder now. We arrived at the terminal at about 11am and that seemed to be perfect timing. Pre-boarding started at about 11:40.

We asked the CM in ther terminal about doing the countdown since we were first on line and were told they no longer do it (we have done it in the past).

He said one of the DCL execs decided it was not a good idea and put a nix on it....can't imagine why....it always got the people on the line pumped up and ready to cruise!!!

For those who don't know what I am talking about DCL used to let the first people in line (especially when there were kids with them) to count down from 10 before we boarded. The CM would ask everyone ARE YOU READY TO CRUISE??? The line would respond and then...I CAN'T HEAR YOU.... etc.. or something like that .....the whole line would join in and then they would drop the rope and let people board. It was cute!!

Counters open for check in at 10:30
The ears technically open at 11:45, but sometimes it is a few minutes earlier. There is a very brief pre-boarding of cat 1-3 and handicapped guests first. This pre-boarding does not include "families with small children" the way it does on the airlines as nearly everyone on DCL has kids!
