Hi,

If anyone has any knowledge about this please let me know. Is it possible to have a Character breakfast at 8:00am at the GF :confused3 , then head outside the hotel to do a pirate cruise at 9:30am?pirate: Or do you think that the times are too tight? Thanks for your help.

Hey Steve,

I was advised that we would be fine with 8:00 am ADR at Cape May Cafe and our boys making it on the Albatross Treasure Cruise.

My plan is to get the kids food first and get them seated so they can start eating first. They always eat fast so I'm not worried about them going hungry. If they need to get to the boat before we are done one of us can run them out there and come back to finish.

My question to you is what will you do while they are on the cruise? We were going back and forth between massages and "adult" rides. We both decided to try a mad dash to AK for a whirl on Expedition Everest.

Good luck,
Lois

Steve:

We did this last year when our DD was 8. We had enough time for breakfast with an 8 am ADR. The pirate people like to have the kids checked in at 9:15 am. They get a cute Mickey Ear pirate hat, a life vest, and remember to have the kids wear sneakers. Once the pirates left on their pontoon boat, my husband checked his emails at the GF business center and we walked to the Poly. But then we quickly got inside the Poly lobby, as the pontoon boat was docked there while the kids looked for treasure outside. We didn't want a young pirate to think her parents were following her!

The pirate cruise was one of the highlights of her trip, despite my DH's anxiety of sending her on the boat alone.

We are celebrating her 9th birthday at WDW (leaving tomorrow!!) and she is still more pirate than princess, she tells me.

Have a great trip.

Thanks Lois, I have not thought much about what to do while the kids are gone, wow free time???. But since will be at the GF we might as well enjoy something there. Maybe we'll rent a boat and harrass the pirates...

Also, thanks to both to Lois and Jeanbean for your feedback, it sounds like there was no mad dash to eat and meet the characters and fly out the door. Is that correct?
