Time to allot for Safari

I have been on the SD Safari site and the map makes me think that this is an "all-day" activity. But, having never been there, it's hard to judge. Can someone tell me what a reasonable length of time it takes to accomplish this park? Thanks!

We got there around 11, stayed until closing, and did most of everything we wanted. Kids were 2 and 5 at the time, so we moved pretty slow. Things are pretty spread out and parts of the park is hilly. It's hotter too since it's inland. We went in late June and had been spending time at Legoland where the weather was very comfortable, so we were a little caught off guard with the heat.

I usually suggest 4 to 6 hours. Just yesterday, I spent about 7 hours there
