I apologize if this was already asked or if it's posted somewhere else. Does anyone know what network and what time the WDW Xmas parade is showing tomorrow morning (Christmas morning)? Thanks for your help.

I believe it is on ABC starting at 10:00 CST.

if you miss it, the travel channel (i THINK) will have it on again tonight

I was wrong about the channel, it will be on the Disney channel at 8

i watched some of it, between cooking lunch.
My DH told me at dinner tonight that he was disappointed in it, that all it was - was an advertisement for disney..

I told him, I don't blame them.. lol

Ok I have to ask a serious question to you all. Who thought that the Regis and Kelly live in Disney Christmas Parade was taped and how many thought it would be live considering the fact that it should be on Christmas Day. I don't know why just taking a stab at it. Well Since I live 3 hours away I drove up for the day because I was dying to see it in person plus that would make my Christmas Magical. Well I didn't realize (once I asked a worker) that the CHRISTMAS DAY Parade (feat. Clay, Jessica, etc.) was TAPED 3 WEEKS AGO!!! Now if they were editing this, then maybe this shouldn't be called live. But 3 weeks ago, for God's sakes that was like Thanksgiving. I was actually shocked. Who here thought it was taped. I bet there are people out there who thought it would be live. So then I spent the rest of the day pissed and sad that I didn't get to see it.

dogg2727 .. as I was watching it I wondered that SAME thing... Is this taped? I really figured that it was since some DISers were talking about "parade taping" a few weeks ago.

I enjoyed the parade.. I am sorry.. but it made me cry SO many times. DD got so excited whenever she saw a charachter. Our trip is just too far away.. (ok about 6 wks but COME ON). '

I do wish they showed more parade, less "magical gathering" plugs, but oh well. It still made me cry and over anxious for our trip tp get here!

It was taped on the Weekend of the 5th, 6th and 7th. They even had signs up by some of the equipment (lights) saying that it was for the Christmas parade.:)

At the very beginning of the broadcast yesterday, it said "RECORDED" on the bottom of the screen, I don't think they ever said "live" in any of the advertising. I don't think they have done it live for at least 5 years. I saw the taping 2 years ago around the beginning of December. I guess they do it early so that they can edit all the parts together (they tape parts over several days. The Star Jones at AK was taped Nov 30). Plus I'm sure the celebrities schedules are filled up closer to Christmas.

Wow it sure makes me fuzzy inside knowing that the CHRISTMAS DAY PARADE is now live on CHRISTMAS. I wish that maybe I could get a frieken notice in the mail on what day it will be there. I went up hoping for a magical day with a special parade. Well I got the 3/4 magical day and the 1/4 no parade. Oh well next year I will see the Christmas Day Parade TAPED on Thanksgiving Day lol.

Didn't they run the Christmas Parade yesterday at 2:00pm? I know it wasn't the one shown on TV with the celebs, but at least you could have seen the parade. We had to pay extra to go to MVMCP to see it.

What? It was not live! Oops I guess that was what all of those cameras were doing at the MK a couple of weeks ago. lol

Actually we planned on being there during that time. We were in a couple of the shots when Jump Five are performing in front of the Emporium. I also found myself in the crowd during the Enrique Iglaseas (sp) performance. (Those wre both done on different days, actually different weekends.

It was interesting seeing what went into the taping of the parade and then watching it on TV back home.

There were several threads recently about the parade, when it was taped, and that it was going to be shown on Christmas morning. We were at MGM on Saturday the 6th and then at MK on Sunday morning. Got a little video shot of Regis when we were leaving around lunchtime to head to DTD. They were asking people if they wanted to line the street to be in some of the taping.

If you noticed during some of the scenes, it kept going from real cloudy and cold to sunny. Saturday was pretty darn cold while Sunday was beautiful and sunny.

Watching the parade it was evident that it was taped on different days. At the beginning, people were wearing warm coats, hats and gloves. In another shot, they were wearing shorts and tank tops. A few minutes later back to heavy coats. Also, the people in the prime viewing area changed (they were in the same spot).

The changing sky (sunny, overcast) is possible. Also, does anyone know if the Pop open when that section was filmed?

My biggest gripe about the parade was it seemed like one huge commercial for Magical Gatherings.

Coming from a family where this could never happen (even if I
footed the bill for 5 of our relatives) it just emphasised that my family is not the demographic for interest for the Disney company. The closest I have ever come to an extended family vacation is my sister, her husband, and daugther at the beach for 4 days. Maybe in a few years I can "borrow" a few of DD8's friends to become a party of 8.

(MY husband and I are both from small families. We have the only grandchild on one side of the family. Most relatives do not enjoy theme parks of any kind. Other relatives are in too poor health to travel).

hard way, that the "Parades" are taped! About 6 years ago, I was in WDW and they were taping segments for the Easter Parade, which is NO longer shown. Easter was in April and the taping was in March!

I was entirely disappointed with the presentation of the parade.
Yes, it was one huge advertisement and the pushing of the magical gatherings was nauseating. Enough with that already.

The Christmas parade and Mickey's 75th birthday special that aired the other night was nothing other than Disney exploiting Mickey and the Magic just to give exposure to the wicked crappy stars of ABC's even crappier prime time line up!
