Time shares

Varies by property. Ours are under $7 per point. 238 points gets you a two bedroom standard view during food and wine. About 80 gets you a week in a studio.

Oh and don't buy with the plan of reselling it someday. With a few exceptions and at worst you'd more likely have to pay someone to take it off your hands. Or at best, you'd lose a lot of money.
We've got family coming into town this weekend to meet with a lawyer specifically to sign a quit-claim on their two Hawaii contracts and will return them to the developer without compensation. They've tried for 2 years to sell them - there's absolutely no market whatsoever, at any price. :worried: They've owned them for about 4 years (purchased on their one and only visit to Hawaii) and despite their optimistic intentions, they've not been able to afford to travel and utilize them. It was a very, very poor decision for them.
We own Marriott and DVC; our Marriott is in Las Vegas. It really all depends on your travel style as to whether or not it's worth it. For us, we have been able to take our kids to Hawaii, Spain, Sedona, Williamsburg, San Diego and more.
I think it's important for potential buyers understand though, that one can visit those places or anywhere else, really, without a time-share. It's wise to calculate the cost of suitable accommodations in a desired location against the real cost of the time-share (amortized purchase price, annual maintenance fees, and any actual fees for the stay).
