Time share at Yacht Club?

This is not one that I have heard any rumblings about, but really you never know what may happen in the future since they have converted rooms more than once now (and YC is the only Deluxe Resort without any DVC accommodations).

If that resort has lots of empty room, like, AK-J, POLY, GV, WL they will convert and make a quick profit, and a big bonus for some one.

Since they have Beach Club Villas in the same complex, this is unlikely unless as others have said they have a lot of empty rooms to fill. Since Yacht Club is a big convention hotel, this is also unlikely.

Doubt they do anything until after Riviera is sold out. So we likely still have 1 more resort after POLY before that occurs.

If I had to guess I would guess:
  • Rest of WL being brought in to CCV (DVC exclusive resort then)
  • Another VGF building converted (sold well this time)
  • Rest of AKL being converted (DVC exclusive resort - with so many points Disney can still easily rent rooms for cash)
  • CBR Aruba/Jamaica - torn down, make a shopping/entertainment/new tower area (like the Disneyland area they are building)
  • Coronado Springs - do the extension of the Skyliner between Epcot to AK with a stop at a new DVC tower

Much more likely to convert more of CBR or some of POR to help deal with some of the oddity of theme there.

Conferences at the main convention center often require 600+ guarantee rooms, which get pulled from YC first, then BWI and BC.

Can't see it happening for all the reasons mentioned above, but, if they did I would be interested if it included access to SAB of course😉

I doubt they’ll touch the YC in the near future, after all they just remolded & added 28,000 sq. ft. to the convention center there less than 4 years ago https://www.disneymeetingsandevents...stone-celebrated-at-walt-disney-world-resort/.
I’ve read rumors that @ one point a front of Epcot DVC was considered - how reliable those rumors were I can’t judge & my sense is they chose to build Riviera over other possibilities. Riviera still has another 4 years of sales unless things pick up there - so there’s already a direct Epcot option in DVC’s view.

I could see another vgf building conversion and more of jambo conversion for next potentials.
