or at Disney?
We are planning a week long vacay in sept. 2011. My inlaws are trading a week in Sanibel for a week in orlando/disney for Sept or early Oct. Any advice or past experience to be shared? ARe there timeshares on Disney property with Disney perks that we should look for?
There are seven Disney Vacation Club resorts, all trading through RCI, on Disney World property. They have the same on-property perks (DME, Disney bus transportation, free parking at parks, charge to the room key card, etc.) as any other Disney lodging but, of course, have timeshare features and amenities that go beyond those of a hotel room.
Saratoga Springs - located across the lagoon from Downtown Disney, I think it's the largest of the DVC resorts but it's the furthest away from the theme parks.
Old Key West - also away from the theme parks but closer than SSR, OKW is located relatively near (two miles or so) the Epcot area.
Bay Lake Towers - I think it's the newest DVC located at the Contemporary Resort on the monorail loop near the Magic Kingdom (it's walkable to MK).
Animal Kingdom Villas - located at the Animal Kingdom Resort about a mile from the Animal Kingdom park.
BoardWalk Villas - these villas are located at the BoardWalk hotel complex and between Disney Hollywood Studios and Epcot.
Beach Club Villas - at the Beach Club resort next to BoardWalk and also between DHS and Epcot.
Villas at Wilderness Lodge - also near the Magic Kingdom (accessible by boat or bus, I believe).
They are all very nicely themed. Go out to
