Time of Day to Leave DL?? HELP! ....

Ok I need to plan JUNE 2012 We will be in DL the 2nd week of june and I assume SUMMER will be in full swing. I need to drive TO san Jose and be there by about 3 SO what time should I leave DL to avoind the traffic. It will be a FRIDAY morning when we leave!....I DONT want to hit the Traffic. (I'm from a SMALL Idaho town!) AND Is it a 6 hour trip to san Jose? WINCHESTER MYSTERY HOUSE.... my daughters request. THANKS GUYS!!!. SO EXCITED to go to DL again!!!!!

According to MapQuest it's a 6 hour drive with no traffic...

That means you'll be leaving while there is still commute traffic since it's a weekday. I'm gonna say at least 7:00 AM to ensure a 3:00 PM arrival...any one else want to chime in?

I hope this isn't for a day trip!

it is about a 5 1/2 hour drive (depending how fast you drive) but if you want to be there by 3 i would leave around 8-9 because of commuter traffic (like the person above me said)

I am from the Bay Area and make that drive regularly. 6-6.6 Hour drive to San Jose depending on how fast you drive. Speed limit on 5 for most of the drive is 70...and you will be passed like you are standing still if you do that speed. I would leave an extra hour to hour and a half to be safe for morning rush hour getting from Anaheim to downtown LA...that is where all of the traffic will be. Once you hit LA, it will be free sailing all the way north from there into San Jose.
