Time limit for threads?

I was attempting to post in a thread and at the bottom it said "you can post in this thread in .... minutes ... seconds." Is this normal? And after my time expired I refreshed the page only to see that it had reset itself. Help please!

It's part of the spambot protection here on DISboards. If you post frequently, or too close together, you'll get that. And the length of time is random.
