Hello,

I have just over 3 months now until we go to WDW and I am finding time is starting to drag!

Not that I am wishing my life away but I feel the next 3 months are going to go really slow.

What is everyone else doing to ease the disney pre-excitment stage to keep it simmering?

I know what you mean - we have over 5 months to wait!! I find the DIS trip reports and listening to podcasts helps! I also keep busy making Mousekeeping envelopes, looking at dinning menus, print out park maps make packing lists and make must do attraction lists for each of us!!

I also look on line at the american stores and plan what I am going to buy next trip!:)

Oh yes, time is defo dragging..... We still have our dollars and parking, plus universal tickets to buy but after that we are pretty much prepared.

Always look on the WESH web site to keep an eye on the weather and also at EdwinWatts.com..:surfweb:

I feel the same way. I have 3 months (today) left and as I write this I am sitting at work wishing the time away. Its even worse now football has finished at least I could use that to escape for a while. Nevermind the tennis starts at the weekend.

At least we have the boards to keep us occupied and to vent our frustrations, share the joy or just give us the odd chuckle.

I always hate the fact that time always drags when you are planning something and once you are there it passes in no time at all.

Look on the bright side at least we are going soon others are not so lucky.

70 days to go, all paid apart from US and DC, planning done as far as we want to, DIS takes up some time, especially arguing the toss with some of our colonial friends.

Hey guys it'll be here before you know it!! We booked in December and it felt like forever away and we're down to 7 weeks already!! :woohoo:  :woohoo:

I'm nosying in here alot!! Reading my books, watching and rewatching the Disney/Seaworld etc DVDs that I've got in the house and going to the gym loads to try and get weight off so that I can put it all on again!!

In 9 weeks time I'll be all :sad1: because I'll be heading home and you'll all be in the final stages of countdown!!

mo x

Just under 4 months for my family and I too am concerned that I am beginning to wish my life away;)

We are trying to prep our DD (who has no idea she is going) with the odd Disney movie - I had forgotten how much fun Mary Poppins was - and now that she is becoming computer literate (probably more so than her parents :lmao: ) she is spending time on the Disney websites more and more -although we are keeping her away from any details of what is at the parks so far.

However, work in my Bakery is busy and with the summer months going to keep me even busier I am sure the time will just fly by....... :hourglass

I have to wait until October and feel it is ages away yet. We haven't had a holiday for 2 years so are definitely looking forward to this one !!

Hi

I know what you mean. The August one seems so long away, but actually its been going quite quick. I think it was the hassle of the flights and speaking to Claire that has made it go so quick. Also I am in the middle of organising our Nov trip as a family. Working extra shifts to pay for both.

I have another 6 months to wait and it seems like forever despite the fact that we went in February

I agree, everything is now planned and the only thing left to do is wait.

We go November and it seems like ages away but i am keeping myself as busy as possible by posting lots of messages on here and finding out new and intresting things. I do a few little tasks at a time like just booked Carpark and Overnight stay, Ordered a few disney items for the children to make a goodie bag up, I am making a scrapbook. So i am keeping my self Disney style busy, lol.

DONNA

PS Why not have some fun events 1 a month to look forward to all disney themed. Like a Disney movie evening, Disney themed Party.

I know it will be here before I know it so don't worry about the time dragging because I also know I will be back home too. I love the enjoyment of knowing it is coming up without wishing it here. The weeks pass so quickly.

I watch our videos and the WDW promotional ones all the time! Just under 2 and a half months to go for me!

 Hi all,

I've got 6 months to go until our trip to the little castle in the sky in November::yes:: .

Not that I've done much since I paid the deposit off:woohoo: . I seem to be paying out for everything thats broken in the house lately.

We've replaced 3 Wardrobes, the cooker and brought new pots and pans. The 3 bedrooms in our house have been redeorated and new carpets fitted, all in the space of 4 weeks:rolleyes1 .

I got bonus from work 3 days ago :ssst: and I've spent that on a new flat screen monitor today, as my old one died last night:badpc: . I honestly thought i could live without one for 6 mths:scared1: , but i was having cold sweats  last night at the thought of not been able to come on the Dis and read all the posts and holiday reports. I watched :happytv: my disney planning dvd today which cheered me up big time.

Have a great time when you get there:beach: .

Hi there, times dragging for us as well as we're not going till Dec! :sad2: Never mind, my Dd's and i have been Scrapbooking, so going through all the old photos and keepsakes from our first trip to WDW (way back in 1999:eek: ) has been keeping us occupied ;)

It'll be here before you know it, and you'll probably have your trippies done long before we're ready to leave;)

Happy Planning!

Thanks everyone, its nice to know that its just not me! :rotfl:

To fill in the time I do the following:

look at Dis
Watch old holiday videos
look at old holiday photos
watch the planning DVDs (2005 is the best one)
scrapbook (I have finshed 3 12 x 12 books since going in 2005)
watch disney movies
Go into the disney store!
I also pay my holiday off monthly so each time I go into the travel agents I get a buzz (which I did yesterday...only £800.00 to go!!!)
Buy holiday clothing (yesterdayI got DH a few nice new tops (one being a disney top) and myself 3 pairs of shorts and 6 tops :woohoo: - lets just hope I dont put weight on before I go or they won't fit me...I just ate a large white chocolate cookie for breakfast so I dont think that would have helped!!!)
Then if you ignore the above I also diet for the 3 months before I go to lose about 6/7 pounds...

Thanks everyone for sharing

You know it would make better sense to open a savings account with a good rate of interest and save in that every month. Then you would get the benefit of the interest and not the travel agent.:)
