Time from Parking Lot to Gates at MK

How much time is needed from the parking lot to the front gates of Magic Kingdom. I know there is a ferry or a monorail.

How much time is needed from the parking lot to the front gates of Magic Kingdom. I know there is a ferry or a monorail.

My times may be off a minute or two based on when you catch the tram or monorail but lets just assume this.............as this WILL be fairly close.

You park..........time from the car to being on the tram: 3-5 minutes
Ride from tram to dropoff at Ticket and Trans. Center: 2-3 minutes
Time from Tram to monorail (assuming you take the monorail): 3 minutes
Wait for monorail: 3 minutes
Trip from monorail to MK: 3 minutes or so
Monorail to Security: 2 - 4 minutes (depending on walk speed)

Estimated Total time: 16-20 mins or so.

It kind of depends, your time could be longer depending on when you are arriving and the time of year. If you are arriving first thing in the morning during a busy season, the line to get on the monrail takes longer. I normally plan on 30 minutes at least.

If you are arriving in the morning and it is morningEMH for on-site guests, you will have to wait until 10 minutes prior to park opening to get through the gate for the monorail. A very large crowd builds, so add in extra time for that.

As someone who would park at the MK parking lot and take the ferry/monorail to the MK on a daily basis... I would plan for 30 minutes. It will probably take less, but there were days that it did take 30 minutes.

ON AVERAGE, both will take the same amount of time. I like to take the Monorail over and then the ferry boat back at night. It's very pretty on the boat at night.

YES!

Trams do not service AAA parking, and at the MK, that's quite a hike.
