time from Disney to Universal?

We are staying at Disney but plan to spend a day at Universal. We have two little ones so will probably be up early and therefore traveling during rush hour on the way there. We plan to stay all day and come home after eating dinner there.

Can anyone give me a ballpark idea of how long to expect the trip to take each way? We will be driving our own car. And we are traveling in NOvember, if that makes any difference. Thanks!

About a half hour each way, depending on traffic.

15 to 20 min depending on where in Disney you are staying.

We are staying at the Wilderness Villas. Do you think the 15-20 mins is during morning rush hour, or later in the day when there is less traffic?

I don't think Rush hour will be a problem. You know, they've added lanes on I-4 between Disney and USF. Plus they have cameras along to road to monitor accidents. I usually arrive IOA at 07:30am driving up I-4 the same way you would, and there is never a traffic problem. The backups usually happen later in the day.

The roads have been backing alot worse recently due to construction just north of the FL Turnpike. It sometimes backs-up to the Disney area. If you get on the road between 7:00 - 7:30 you will be fine.
