I saw this question in another thread earlier this week and now I can't find it, my apologies for it being a repeat.

Anyone know how long the Electrical Light Parade is? With the fireworks starting in DLand at 9:25 I'm afraid we're not going to make it back inside the gates to see them. I know we can see them from outside Disney...but then we miss the "good stuff".

Also..we arrive Sunday but won't be in the park until Monday.....anyone know of a prime spot to watch the fireworks that night from outside the park? TIA

They've timed it to make it nearly impossible to see both on the same night, on purpose. If you really must do both on the same night, see the ELP near it's origin point in Paradise Pier, then hightail it out of DCA and over to DL. There's no way to get a prime spot for the fireworks with this technique. The best chance you have is to watch from the train station. I wouldn't really recommend this with small kids, because you have to move fast in order to make it.

Well that just stinks....you'd think they'd like you being able to see both. :(:confused3

Yes, but... with several thousand people trying to cram into DL right before the fireworks, it was a mess. So they changed it in 2005 to make it more difficult.

As it is, even without an influx from DCA, they have their hands full handling the massive traffic jam in the hub and on Main Street that occurs before, during and after the fireworks.

I guess I can see that....it's pretty much to be expected. I know the fireworks are amazing and all....but my son is all hyped up over the ELP. We listen to the music and he loves loves LOVES the "dragon" part. My vote is for the ELP.....do you know of any good spots to at least see the fireworks outside disneyland...at least for Sunday night while we're there.
