Time frame for sending purchases to resort

We are making a quick trip at the end of the month. Normally when I make purchases in the park it is at the beginning of a several night trip.

We will be in Epcot for the morning/early afternoon on a Thursday and will be checking out on Saturday. I know I will be making purchases and don't want to carry them when we hop over to Animal Kingdom. Will the one day (Friday) give them adequate time to get the purchase back to CR? If I remember correctly, most of the purchases are ready for pickup on the evening of the day after the purchase is made.

I think it is 24-48 hours busy times it will take longer. You can also have things sent to the front of the park 4-6 hours for this

I believe the cut-off time for next day delivery to the resorts may be late afternoon. The CM at the purchase counter can tell you when it is for sure. If you buy something early in the day on Thursday, there should be no problem getting it at your resort later on Friday. I've had packages sent back to my resort more times than I can count, and they have always been there the next day when I met the delivery deadline. Not to say that exceptions can't happen, but I think that is rare.

Being a natural worrier, I would take them with you to AK, then get a locker. That way I wouldn't worry the whole time.....

Thanks for the info! Our normal experience has been next day but I may just go ahead and carry it with me as I'm a worrier too. I'm planning on a larger backpack that day than I normally carry so I can either get a locker or carry it around.

I would send the purchases to your resort since you are going to be buying things on a Thursday and not checking out until a Saturday. They will have your information so they know all that. If, for some odd reason, the purchases don't arrive at your resort before you leave, they will be sent to you at home. I wouldn't overthink this at all and I am a planner and a worrier.

Look into the ShopDisneyParks app. I believe they will still deliver directly to your resort on a day of your choosing, don't remember how much heads up they need though.

They'll tell you when you make the purchase whether it will get to your resort, and when. Last trip I (foolishly) purchased a large stuffed Minnie for our fish sitter's baby on the last day before we left, and I ended up walking around with it in my backpack all day because we needed to leave MK for an ADR before it would have made it to the gate (and I knew we wouldn't get back to MK), and it wouldn't have gotten to our resort until long after we checked out the next day.

I was just going to suggest this. I've done it a number of times and it's actually nice not to have to worry about packing them and getting them home myself.

some times they will have free shipping so check and see. they did this for one of my trips and it was great. you get a little disney when you get back home

I do not think there was a charge for this just as there was not a charge for sending thinning back to your resort if you send things to your home then yes there is ( most of the time) a charge for this.

I found the article, they removed the front of park pickup for the shop parks app but it's still an option purchasing in person.

When I was there at the end of January, we were told that delivery to your resort was the next day after 3 pm. Most of our purchases were before 5 pm, so I do not know if the same delivery time stands for purchases late in the day. I know I saw various CMs during the day walking what looked like purchases to probably drop points for distribution the next day.

We ran into that issue one year when we did a split stay, we made purchases in park and were staying at CBR - i believe we bought something at AK on thursday morning and saturday was our change over day to SSR. We were told it would be there by later Friday, it never showed up and we moved over to SSR. It eventually found us (I guess disney is good about keep track of items). They even told us if for some reason we didn't receive it before we left they would have mailed it to us. We really weren't fully aware of the time it took to get to the resort.

I believe your other option is that they may hold packages at guest services so you can pick up when you leave the park.

yes this is another option but it will be page pick up not GS each park has one you have to ask where it si normally at the front I know at MK palace pick up is next to GR, I see the sign at AK telling you to go left as you exit, not sure where it is at EPCOT ( I think near the ball) or HS guessing close to the front.

It's based on the purchase price total.
Disney packages up the item(s) and ships soon after purchase.
The package(s) will generally arrive within 1-2 weeks.
For some purchases, the cost is considered high.
For others, it can be a bargain.

In Epcot at least, shipping purchases for both front of the park delivery and resort delivery need to be made by 7pm. Packages will be delivered to your resort's gift shop after 1:00 the next day. Needs three hours to get to the front of the park. Obviously, no deadlines for home shipping.
