time frame for new ME tags

I changed our resort for our first two days last Tuesday. I switched from an EP resort to an MK resort--I already had the tags for our original reservation. I was told they would send new tags. I still have 3 weeks, but I'm wondering how soon I can expect the new tags?

Actually, as long as the reservation number didn't change, the tags you have will work. What you can do is cross out the wrong information and write in the right information (just make sure not to write on the bar code) so that a DME employee doesn't see the wrong information (after it's been put on the right bus based on the information on the bar code) and think that someone put in on the wrong bus and move it.

I will do that if time gets tight. The DVC agent said new tags would come out. Just nervous about our bags going to BWV if we are going to the Poly. Plus the switch is a surprise to my husband, and I'd rather not have to explain what I'm doing--I thought I could keep it a secret at least until we get to the ME lines.

Sounds like what I'm doing! My dad and her friend think we're going to Pop for two nights before our move to OKW. But I changed POR in a royal room. Our tags say Pop...I've had them for over a month! I didn't want new tags, want it to be a surprise when we get there. The reservation umber has stayed the same, so our bags should get to POR in a timely fashion.

That's what I can't do! I figure if I have "MK" tags I can tell DH (if he notices) "Oh yeah, I found out our tags were messed up but I called and everything is OK." I can't write MK instead of EP or the jig will be up. I would just have to trust in the bar code.

Yep....that's my issue too! I'm actually afraid one of the girls will notice the resort change in MDE! But, hopefully they'll be too excited to give it a second thought.

Got my new set of "MK" tags today! But I saved the old confirmation so if he does notice, I can say "everything is OK, see the paperwork says BWV"! This way I can save the surprise as long as I can. I would like to even get a towncar so I could keep it up until we pull up to the Poly, but he knows how I love ME so that would really set off alarm bells for him.
