They usually send everything a couple weeks after you sign your LOA.

we sent back our signed LOA last Monday, and our consultant's assistant let me know they sent our APs out yesterday.

We signed our LOA and paid our deposit on 11/8/11. I got an email on the 9th saying DFTW had received our contract and we were confirmed. I haven't heard a peep out of them since. I'm feeling a little antsy about not having been assigned a planner or getting any of my planning documents, especially since my DFi and in-laws are making noises about upgrading to a Wishes wedding - I simply don't have the information on cost breakdowns they are asking for. Frustrating much?

Ladies, am I jumping the gun here or is a nearly 2 week lag between the LOA and getting a planner "normal"?

It's normal. We sent our LOA in a couple weeks ago, and we JUST got our planner assigned. Just be patient.

It's been almost 2 weeks since we sent ours back (I think we mailed it on the 8th as well) and we haven't gotten a planner yet either. They just cashed our check at the end of this week. I think it takes some time to get the LOA signed by the director, the money processed, and then planner assigned. Our consultant emailed us on the 16th and told us to expect a planner by the end of next week or the beginning of the week after, depending on their schedule. With Thanksgiving this week, I'm not expecting to hear from them until the following week.

Thanks ladies! I had a feeling it was pretty normal. I'm going to count Thanksgiving week as a "lost cause" since I'm sure DFTW is like any other business over the holidays - people on vacation, short weeks and other assorted chaos. I think we're probably near the end of the "normal" time lag in any case.

I guess we got lucky.

We signed our LOA and turned it on 11/10. Got an email from the consultant's assistant the next day saying that our deposit had been processed. When we met with Bill on the 10th, he said that our LOA would be signed off on this past Wednesday and that we should have our planner by the end of this week.

Well, he was good to his word. Thursday Kathy called me to introduce herself and get the ball rolling. We have already started finalizing when our PS will be (due to Paul's work, we are limited to 2 dates) and she said we should be getting our planning pack soon. Needless to say that I am checking my email all the time for it, but haven't seen it yet.

Not in a rush to get our AP vouchers since we won't cash them in until June for our PS or wait until our event next November.

Just wanted to follow up and say that I got my planning kit (and a whole lot of other stuff) today from my planner's assistant. We also are confirmed for our PS!!!

Lol i think you and i are on the same schedule! I wonder if we had the same consultant, mine was a man as well! We sent in our LOA on 11/9, got a confirmation on 11/10, got our planner last week, and got all of the planning info and kit today! I thought I had a lot sorted out until I looked at it - now i'm overwhelmed with details!

Is it strange, that I have not received my LOA and my one year mark is in 2 days, well almost one day (November 30,2012)??? I received the tentative agreement with the room block, but nothing else has arrived!! Im getting quite nervous

Our one year mark was on a Friday and we didn't receive our LOA until Monday. If I were you, I'd email your consultant the morning of your 12 month mark as a friendly reminder that you are hoping to have it sent over that day. Did you send back all of the room block and required information?

Slightly random question, but it relates:

I'm going to call on Nov 7, 2012, for our wedding as that's our one-year mark. We were hoping to go down to Disney in Dec (1-5). Would it be too much to hope that we would have our AP vouchers that quick?

I'd call before the one year mark. They do the lottery that day, so you wouldn't be entered in it. It takes a few days to get your consultant assigned, then you have to do the room block before they can draw up the LOA. We sent our signed LOA and deposit on 11/8 and we received our AP vouchers on 11/25.

Thank you. I meant call to confirm at the one-year mark. I'm going call at 16-months to pencil. I was just wondering if I would have the vouchers by our trip in December.
