I have a 3:00 flight from MCO, and need to be picked up at the Rosen Plaza hotel. The website defaults to 11:40, which seems really early.

Is that the right amount of time needed to get to the airport and be checked in?

40 past the hour is Mears' standard, scheduled pickup for your hotel (they pickup once a hour). 12:40 would be too late since the airport is something like 20 minutes (no traffic/stops) from the hotel.

It's not much different than DMEs 3:00 +15 minutes.

Safe travels!

You don't know how many hotels Mears will be stopping at between Rosen and MCO.

BAGS services the Rosen Plaze. You can check your bags, and get your BP, at your hotel. I think the charge is $10-$15 per passenger, in addition to your airline charges.

JMO but the 12:40 is probably cutting it close, even without checking luggage. Check Rosen's website. They deal with a second shuttle company.

A frequent flyer, on another internet board, said a person who never missed a flight is a person who has wasted too much time in airports.

I would much rather "waste time" in an airport than miss a flight.

Thanks all :)
I have to cut a conference short, so I was wondering if I could get one more session in.

I have wasted way too much time in airports because I'm scared of missing flights. One the way down I have a 5 hour layover, because my other option was 30 minutes, and in the winter that is just WAY too easy to miss because of de-icing delays.

ITA, I thought it was an "interesting" concept.

IF I was a business flyer, flying on a route with very frequent service (NYC-ORD), I might cut it close risking an hour wait for the next flight.. This only makes sense if there is availability on later flights or your status all but ensures accommodation on the later flight.

OP--You want to squeeze in an extra session. Consider paying to check your bags at your resort then taking a taxi. You could leave at 1, maybe even 1:15. Could you split the taxi with other attendees.
