Last night she did great.
She's a pitcher (this is my 11yr old) and she had her best inning ever - 7 pitches.
First girl hit a ball straight to her and then the next 2 girls were struck out.
She's my little stud
We ended up winning 19-1
We could have won by more, but we decided to not have the girls be so aggressive with base running after the score got run up (I'm one of the coaches).
It was so nice to finally be outside with the fresh air - I"m so glad winter is over!!!
11yr old DD and I spend ALOT of time together.
I've been coaching her for 4 years now
I'm also one of her pitching coaches, so her and I practice that 3-4 times a week on top of team practices.
This DD has always had a special bond with me. I tell her all the time that if I could be a kangaroo and carry her in my pouch with me all day, that she would love to do that
My 16yr old, from the minute she could walk was running - always wanted her independence, and my 11yr old, from the minute she could walk was doing everything she could to stay by my side. It's amazing how different 2 kids from the same DNA can be
But LAST night was a good night for her since she hasn't pitched to a batter since October. Pitching to a batter with an umpire starring you down is so much different than just pitching to me. Her goal is to be a Division 1 pitcher for a major university - my goal is not as huge as hers, I just want her to play for the high school - anything after that will be just gravy
