Time for borrowed points to be returned back

I just got off the phone with member services and they're telling me my Returned points are unavailable until June 5th,20. Member services said they have to do this manually to put them in my 2020 June use yer.
I am unable to make any reservations in the next 11 months at any time until the points of put back.
And Then I have to call them back in order to book the reservation after June 5th,20.

What??? That’s ridiculous.

So they told you that you can’t use them online? Seems different members have been told different things in how to use them.

The June 5th date is consistent, but some have said they will show up to be used,

I wonder if anyone with April UY points that were extended will chime in because I assume those are available already?
 
Its a mess for sure. Different answers every time someone calls. >:(
I told them my use year starts on June 1st, not the 5th. And that I have to "waste my time" to call and make a reservation, which can be done online. MS said that's the way it is.

My expired points that are being reinstated will not be available until June 5th. They will not show up online, I must call in to use them. The new expiration date is October 1st.

Wow. I assumed April would have access prior to that. Crazy.
 
So the points are “out in limbo” can’t be used at all until June 5th, and are only good through October 1st? It’s hard enough to book right this minute leave alone another month from now with a mere 3 month window. This does not seem right?

I know and am surprised that April hasn’t had access yet, It makes me wonder again if these points are an actual owners points being used, or developer points.

What I am waiting to see is if the newly extended points will be allowed to be reallocated into a trip the owner booked at 11 months that was made during the extension period.

are those the 2018 points that were extended 6 months?
 
Has to be. (Poster said it was April use year & 10/1 is the 6 month expiration).

i thought so. It’s all so confusing and since the cast members are confused too, it makes it even harder to know any timeline
 
I did the chat like you suggested and it worked. Took 5 min and they returned them. Not sure they would have otherwise. Thanks!
 
Just cancelled our Aug trip which had 260 borrowed 2021 points (our points from our May reservation have still not been returned from 2019 to 2020). CM told me they are doing « unborrowing » on Thursdays and that my points from our May ressie were already queued up to be returned tomorrow & the Aug ressie points would be as well. I’ll report back tomorrow.
 
I guess my situation was different. We had 75 points from 2019, 125 points from 2020 and 20 OTU points were purchased. Our UY is August. Our trip was May 24-29 at Copper Creek.

OTU points were refunded back to original form of payment. the 2019 points were put towards our September 2020 trip and the 2020 points were returned into the original UY.

My September 2020 trip was on borrowed 2021 points, but now I don't have to use any 2021 points.
 
Does anyone know if you do a partial cancellation, i.e. 08/01/2020 - 08/08/2020 reservation and drop last night of trip only, if the borrowed points from that last night will go back to the 2021 UY? The recent announcement that Members can only borrow 50% of points has put me in a bind for next year. Yes, I am a serial borrower. :crazy2:

I sent MS an email with that question several weeks ago and after waiting almost a week, the answer was (paraphrased): Due to the nature of your question, you will need to call MS directly. Yay me!!!! :rolleyes:
