My MIL's flight arrives at the Orlando airport at 1:00 next Sunday, and we have reservations at 50's Prime Time for all of us at 3:25 that afternoon. Will she have time to get from the airport via M.E., check in at Port Orleans Riverside, and still get to Hollywood Studios via the bus by 3:25?

This should be doable. It may be tight though.

Maybe, and that's if all on time. Her flight is late and if she has to wait for ME, then maybe wait for bus at POR. Once the bus gets moving travel time to POR is about 30-40 min. If she would give her bag to bellman, head straight to DHS, then check in later that could help. Is there anyway to change the time on your ADR to 4:30, that way she should be able to make it?

In May or flight arrived at 1, we took DME to POR. We had already done online check in so all we had to do was grab our keys. Our room was ready and all we had was our carry ons. We went to the room dumped our stuff, grabbed things for the night and we were out the door by 2:30. Took the bus to MK and made it in pretty decent time.

So IF her flight is on time. IF check in line is short. IF the HS bus is there when she walks up, she should make it fine. She could always check in to get her keys and leave her bags with bell services until she comes back for the night. That would save some time.

I'll keep trying to get a later ADR, but so far I haven't had any luck. I'll recommend she do the early check in before she leaves home. Thanks.

When you say bag are you talking about a carry on or a suitcase she has to claim at baggage claim? DME takes approx 70-90 minutes from plane to resort check in I have had it take approx 60 minutes most of the time once it was 85. If the plane lands on time and she doesn't have to get her luggage and she goes directly to DME she should be at the resort no later than 2:30 pm. Then she checks in, gives her bag to the bellman I will give that another 20 minutes so that brings us to 2:50 pm. It is doable but might be very tight

You should be fine, as long as you've done online check-in, and are ready to head right out after checking in. We were due to get into MCO at 11:30, but got in early, about 11, headed straight to ME, where there were HUGE lines waiting to board all the busses. It took us 40 minutes to finally get on a bus, 10 minutes to board everyone and their luggage. We were lucky enough to be the first stop (CBR)., and were the first ones off the bus, and at online check in, and even though our room was ready, we just checked our carryons with bell services and hurried right to the bus stop, where we waited at least 30 minutes for the HS bus. I swear 8 other busses came before ours did. We finally were walking through the gates at HS exactly at 1pm. Our reservations were for 1:30. There was just my 22 son and I, though, and we were dressed and ready to move, having already changed into shorts prior to the flight, and had our park bags packed inside our carryon. Plus, we move fast! Take all this into consideration with the larger group you have, and how well you will move as a group!

Does she already have her park ticket? If so she can skip the resort check in line.

Average time from plane to resort is about 70 mins. POR has been on our route to BW the last few times....so it should still be the first stop on the route. If the plane lands ontime, and you don't have a longer than usual wait for the bus, you should be at POR by 2:30, get checked in and then quickly to the DHS bus. It could take you about 30 mins total to get to 50's though....the wait for the bus, the bus ride, then through bag check and the turnstiles and the walk to 50's...so don't dilly dally anywhere.

And they're usually pretty good about holding late ADR's. I think they still honor them for something like 15 or 30 minutes after their original time. At least that's been my experience. They give you a bit of lee-way.

While they will hold the ADR, I wouldn't count on 50's holding an ADR for 30 mins...maybe 10 or so, but after that, you may very well lose out. This is why I never book an ADR for less than 3-4 hrs after airport arrival...way too many chances for something to go wrong.
