Time for a Poll Who has swam in Bay Lake.

I have been going to WDW since it opened and we used to go in the water. We would stay at CR and Poly and have some beach time every vacation. We also loved River Country! Those were the days......

Never did! Although DH tried to throw me in once... luckily, I'm a fast runner... too many critters out there...

Yup! Safely swam at River Country in the 70's..great fun!

I did not get the chance and since we saw a gator or crocodile in the waters at the GF who swam from the Poly, you would not catch me swimming in any of the waters (less the pool)

Yep, when I was "a lot" younger. When R.C. was still operational.. Oh the good ole days!

Swam in there for 12 years, River Country and the lake. From the opening of the Fort until the early eighties.

We also swam in the lake and visited River Country - and still living to tell about it.

We were there this past week and the boat captain was asked why there was no swimming allowed - when he explained about the bacteria the guy asked - then why do they allow water skiing!?! The captain said it really didn't make any sense as they not only allow the skiing but also the triatholon (sp?!) and the lifeguards do their training in the lake off the coast of FW.

I swam in the the lake and y'all know I haven't bee right in the head since.

That explains a lot for both of us!
