Time for a FAVORITE DISH thread!

Another vote for the filet & mac n' cheese at Jiko....although, seeing some pics of the dishes at V&A chef's table, my vote might be changing next trip :)

This was so hard to pick just one! I figured if I could only eat one thing at WDW, the filet at Jiko would be it.

Best Appetizer - Kona Cafe - Duck Potstickers and Sticky Wings tied for 1st, beating out the Kona Chowder by a whisker
Best Entree - Filet and Mushroom Risotto - Le Cellier
Best Dessert - Chocolate Souffle - Flying Fish
Best overall sit-down meal - Kona Cafe
Best service - Flying Fish

From our trip last month, we ate at
1900 Park Fare (dinner)
Mama Melrose
Akershus - Princess Storybook Lunch
Whispering Canyon
Flying Fish
Le Cellier
Kona Cafe

there are lots of other places that sound fabulous, can't wait to go back and try them!!

I would have to say Nihon Kai from Teppanyaki. That is the only place I can recall walking away thinking that was an absolutely outstanding meal. Do not get me wrong generally speaking I like most meals that I eat at WDW.

P.S. The much easier question for me would be: what is your absolute favorite beverage in all of WDW? :drinking1

My DS (16) would say the steak terryaki from Kona Cafe. I know this because he talks about it whenever the subject of WDW arises!

I'm torn between the macadamia nut encrusted mahi mahi at Kona, the chicken pot pie at 50's Prime Time, and the beef kebobs at Marrakesh.

My favorite appetizers are the beef brewats at Marrakesh and the cheese soup at Le Cellier.

This is a horrible thread when I still have over 3 months until my trip!!

The pan roasted fish with vegetables of the moment and lemon beurre blanc sauce from Jiko is my all time favorite dish at Disney.

Thanks to all for posting!! I love seeing all the favorites...more, more, more! I think that my favorite was the chicken pot pie from the 50s Prime Time Cafe as well. My Disney dining is somewhat limited, but we'll take care of that at the end of August with free dining! :cool1:

Fultons' Crabcakes with parm mash potatoes and asparagus- yes I am from the NO-VA area and I think they are just as good as Baltimore!

Best Appetizer(tie): Beef kabob and cheese soup at Le Cellier. My mom and sister wished they'd gotten the cheese soup, so I got to enjoy both my cheese soup and their beef kabob :)

Best Entree: Filet Mignon at Le Cellier.

Best Dessert: Guiness Chocolate Cake at Rose & Crown.

Pretzel bread at Le Cellier. I don't know how they make it, but it's "to die for!"

Appetizer-current-Sticky wings at Kona
now gone-Calamari at Spoodles :sad2:

Entree-current-Medallions of Filet at Kona
now gone-Rare Ahi Tuna at Kona :sad2:

Dessert-DD6 Build your own Sundae at 50's
Mine-Bread pudding at Park Faire 1900 for dinner.

Favorite Counter Service meals
AK Tuskers-Grilled Salmon
MK Cosmic Rays-Chicken Rib Combo

Okay, for those who said chicken pot pie at 50's I just checked allears and saw that it's only listed for lunch. Do you know if it's available at dinner too? I'd love to have it for dinner. :thanks:

Hands down, the pasta with the truffle sauce at the Hollywood Brown Derby is the best dish I've had anywhere!
Here it is from allears:
Orecchiette with Florida rock shrimp, spinach, zucchini, portobello mushrooms, tossed in a truffle pesto cream $17.29

I get it w/o the shrimp, as I'm a veg, and it is heaven!
I was reading this and thinking " Oh too bad that sounds awesome but I'm allergic to shrimp" and then I read you get it w/o shrimp. :thumbsup2 I'm adding it to my list. Thank you!

Breakfast: Tonga Toast or Macademia Pineapple pancakes from Kona. I dream about both of these...YUMMMM

Appy: Olive flatbread from Jiko

Soup: Butternut Squash Soup from Boma (tastes like pumpkin pie) I ate so much I almost made myself sick.

Salad: Cobb salad from Brown Derby of course!

Entree to be determined (I'll just have to do more research, its a tough job but someones gotta do it)

Dessert: Sundae from Beaches & Cream, Pastry from France, Smores or PBJ shake from 50's PTC, oreo bon bons from Cape May, Dessert bar at Boma Can you tell my favorite course is Dessert??

I just love the olive hummus from Boma's, the escargot appetizer, quiche and creme brulee from Chef de France, mushroom filet mignon, and maple creme brulee at Le Cellier, the Mediterranean dips and the rigatoni at Spoodles. :thumbsup2 :Pinkbounc :thumbsup2

Miss the fried calamari appetizer at Spoodles!!@

That is my favorite in the entire WDW resort. You can ask my husband, I don't know how many times I put that on my plate last time and even had some after eating dessert.....the cracker like bread for dipping is great too.

Also at Boma my favorite fish in all of WDW is the curried Salmon and of course the Zebra domes.

MY favorite complete meal is the Night in Casablanca at REstaurant Marrakesh- It consists of the Roast Lamb Meshoui, Chicken Kebab, and Seafood Bastilla and vegetable couscous. The lamb is nicely seasoned and I like being able to taste a little of different dishes from Morroccan cuisine at one time. Love Morrocan flavors.

Best Sushi - Teppankyaki Lounge

Best Salad - Liberty Tree Tavern . The dressing is awesome!

The chicken coconut curry soup at Boma is AWESOME...I generally don't like soups, but when we went I had 3 bowls of it.

Also, the bread pudding with bananas foster sauce a la mode at O'Hana is excellent (and this coming from someone that does not like bread pudding.)

Lobster Bisque at Concourse Steakhouse. (Anxious to try Kona Chowder)

Belini's (OK so it's not exactly a "dish") at Alfredo's

White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies from Boardwalk Bakery

I have to add that I had a GREAT burger at the Rainforest Cafe in DTD - I don't know if it was my all time favorite meal, but it was good!
