I know this has been discussed before and part of it is individual eating habits and how big the meals are.

We have a beaches and cream scheduled for 1:15
on a day we have 50’s prime time at 5:00. Both are so hard to adjust to new times. We’ve never eaten at B&C. I know it’s mostly burgers and such. Do you think it is too close to 50’s prime time?Wondering if I should keep looking or leave it. Thanks.

I guess it depends on how much you eat at Beaches and Cream. If you are seated at 1.15pm, then peruse the menu, order your food, wait for your food, then eat it could be gone 2pm by the time you're done. Could you eat another big meal 3 hours later? I know I couldn't, but I guess we are all different. Will having two so close together mean you won't get the best out of each experience e.g. choosing light meals when in fact you want a big burger and the kitchen sink at Beaches and Cream.

I could just eat a B&C burger right now, yum.

I would have no room for Prime Time after such a late lunch.

What about you? If you finish as early as 2PM will you be ready to eat again at (roughly) three and a half hours later?

Another option is to split a plate at the second meal...tipping as though you both had a plate. I often have an app while DH, son and DIL each get a meal. It works.

Picture yourself after Thanksgiving, walking five miles in a busy park!

Im thinking may cancel the B&C. I’m not sure it’s worth leaving the park to get to anyway although I know it’s not far. I may try to see if I can nab a dinner ADR there on another day. 50’s PT is a classic family favorite.

Even not far will still take you close to an hour to get from the studios to b&c, same for return. So figure 3 hrs from the studios for lunch.

Wow, that is a bit further than I thought. No, I don’t really want to lose 3 hours of park time at HS for a burger. Thanks!

Split meals at Beaches and Cream and/or at Prime Time. This way you can experience both. Also after eating at B and C you could take the walkway to Hollywood for a bit of extra walking before going to dinner at Prime.

If you are splitting it could work. Unless you can move B & C to an earlier time ( or 50s to later). The other option would be just doing appetizer s at one of them & entrees at the other.

I couldn't see doing them that close together. If I was doing a sit down around 1PM I wouldn't want dinner until like 7 or 8 at night.

Why not just switch lunch to Ice Cream and thats it?

I don’t think it’s worth leaving the park for lunch at B&C. I’d do an earlier QS lunch at the park then enjoy your dinner as is.

I would agree with others about cancel B&C.
Haven't been there since it reopened. Its good, but you will lose a lot of time. 15 minutes from park to B&C minimum each way. Assume a wait to be seated, then decide and eat. At best you are out of there 2:15, probably later.
For us that would be 2 larger meals too close together.
Consider trying touringplans reservation finder as well as looking frequently.

Thanks for your responses everyone. I found a 12:15 on the same DHS day (cancelled the 1:15) but also found a 5:40 dinner on our AK day. So I have two better options. Will go with one of those. Thanks again!
