Hi all

Just completely re doing our itinery and wanted to check something. I have allocated 2 days to Magic Kingdom (although our party has no little kids it does have lots of wimpy riders who love the MK type stuff!) and 1 and a half days to each of the other parks. I have quite a few evenings left free so we could park hop a bit to make up the time but as I am a first time visitor I wondered if anyone could tell me if my time allocations are ok.

Cheers

I think you definately need two full days in MK, you can probably get away with 2 half days at AK. AK is the earliest of the parks to open and the morning is the best time for the animals, starting here then moving on to another park is the best way to use your tickets IMHO. Epcot is the opposite of this so to make use of your evenings I would make 2 or 3 afternoon/evening visits to Epcot and eat at some of the excellent restaurants there. The Illuminations firework and laser show at Epcot is stunning, but it's also a great time to go on the rides at Epcot as the majority of the crowds go to watch the show. If you're at Epcot for 3 nights, you can watch the show once and do the rides on the other two, it will save you a lot of time. You do pay a small premium to eat at Epcot , when compared to similar restaurants in the area, so it's best to try to stick to restaurants where there aren't many similar places in the area. The Japanese Tepanyaki is a great show and excellent food (Benehana's at the DTD Hilton is a slightly cheaper version), The Mexican is a great and unique venue with good food, Akerhus in Norway , I'm sure, is not copied anywhere nearby and I love their buffet, Le Cellier in Canada is a very good steak house and worth the visit even if there are a lot of steakhouses in Orlando. IMHO the chinese and Italian while both are reasonable restaurants are too expensive when compared to the multitude of similar cuisines in the area.
