TimandLesley's When the Boat's a Rockin' Don't .... Trip of a Lifetime TR 2/4/1 pg.33

WOW ! I am totally in awe of your pictures of the Dream and Castaway Cay. I could just feel your excitement in the terminal and as you make your way around the ship. I am just catching up after being in your neck of the woods July 13-17th. We were in Dayton for a baseball tournament. Got to check out a Reds game...what a nice ballpark.

I am really enjoying your trip report and am definitely going to need to take a cruise on the Dream.

Your Castaway Cay update was fabulous as were the pics! Sorry you didn't get to try out the slide. Is the water always that rough? Scuttles Cove looks great. Sorry to hear about the sea lice, that freaks me out :scared1:. How do you get rid of them?

:yay:I was so thrilled when I came across your trip report. I'm all caught up and you have convinced my entire family on going on the Disney Dream for 2013. How do I get on that list?::)

I was soooo missiing a Tim and Lesley tr and came upon it by accident! Your cruise sounds so amazing!!! Can't wait for updates. I keep on checking. BTW, I saw you posted on a thread for disney mickey crocs for your son, Were you able to find any? We are heading to WDW in 3 weeks and I need to replace my sons pair :) (same size as your son's) Any luck in finding any? Perhaps you saw some in the parks? Keep it coming :thumbsup2

Ok it is way past my bedtime but I could not stop reading.

Loving it all!! The cruise looks AMAZING!!! I think you will have lots of people interested in cruising after this report.

My DH was in the Coast Guard & had no interest in cruising but I may have to change that.

Cannot wait to read more about this wonderful trip.

That was fast! So glad you found us again and are enjoying the report. I hope you can change his mind, it's AMAZING!
Hi Leslie!!

It's just not right how excited I am to read this! I have been off the dis for a few months only because real life has taken over but I am hoping to begin planning our fall trip so I wanted to get back into all the fun.

This certainly has been a trip of a lifetime so far, and you have made me think 2x about NOT doing a cruise...may have to talk to the man re: this silly decision!!

I am loving all the pics of the kids, who I think are 2 of the cutest kids ever! The camera loves them for sure! And the scenery..wow!

Subbing...as usual! popcorn::

I don't know if it is always that rough but honestly we weren't missing it at all, that island was amazing! The sea lice was no big deal not even 100% sure that's what it was, they were just itchy and one dip in the fresh water play area and they were fine, they got back in again too!

Day 3 of the Cruise,
I apologize in advance that my camera was not with me until dinner on this day so I’ll keep it short. Today was our at sea day and we took it EASY and did not set an alarm. We were shocked when we woke up and it was 10:15, we scrambled to get to breakfast by 10:30 at Enchanted Garden (closing time). We enjoyed a wonderful buffet. After that Lauren and I hit the pool deck and Tim and Luke went to Goofy’s Sportsdeck to play basketball. I had a hard time finding a chair poolside (mind you it was around 11:30 at this point). I was amazed that a CM appeared out of nowhere and helped to find me a chair. Lauren was excited they were playing pool side Bingo to choose the next movie they would play on the Jumbo tron so she jumped right in playing that and her team won. We enjoyed some ice cream poolside.
Lauren wasn’t feeling 100% so she and I went back to the room and I was surprised at how quickly she fell asleep. I called Tim on the wave phone. He and Luke grabbed lunch at Cabanas and then he took Luke to kids club. Luke and Lauren were both looking forward to a cooking activity that afternoon but poor Lauren missed it because she was SOUND asleep. Tim went and had a drink with Bryan and then he came back around 2:30 and “relieved” me. I went up to Cabanas for a peaceful lunch on my own, it was SO yummy and then I hit the adults only pool for about an hour. I’m telling you it was like HEAVEN on earth. There was an guitar player/singer and they have the comfy padded lounge chairs, and it was SO quite, I was just loving life. After a bit I went back to the room and Tim went up to pick up Luke. Luke came back going on and on about his awesome time in the club but he then suddenly got teary eyed telling me they were doing a “build your own wand” activity after the cooking class and he went over with a bunch of girls and spent an hour making a wand for Lauren because he knew she would be upset she missed it. When Tim checked him out of the club they looked everywhere and it couldn’t be found. Lauren was very sweet and thanked Luke but Luke was devastated he had done that and it was lost. Oh well. It was formal night so we got dressed up for our dinner at Enchanted Garden.
Here are the kids at dinner;

We had another incredible meal from start to finish, service was awesome and the restaurant was beautiful as well, food was GREAT!

We all got changed into our casual clothes after dinner (all of us except for Lauren who wanted to keep her pretty dress on : ) We made our way up to the theatre for the nightly show. Once again we got our box seats:

Toy Story:

One of my favorite parts of the show were the scenes from Tangled, especially the beautiful lanterns paired with that lovely song:

There was a Lion King Scene:
223.jpg

Then they tied it all back to Walt Disney and how it all started with a mouse, and I got teary eyed (I know, I’m a dork):
226.jpg

Then the Mouse appeared:
229.jpg

It was a fantastic show! We hung out for a bit with Diane and Bryan and checked out our photo’s at Shutters, then we made our way back to the room. Lauren in front of the beautiful lobby:

One of the lovely elevators:
238.jpg

When we got back to the room Healene had made up the beds for us, left us this surprise and our Navigator for the next day:
239.jpg

We weren’t ready for bed since we had slept in that morning, so in normal Disney cruise vacation fashion for us we ordered room service:
241.jpg

My amazing cheese plate that I ordered every night and made an awesome pairing to my white wine nightly : )
242.jpg

We turned on the t.v. and found that Toy Story 3 was one of the movies on demand so we watched that together, BIG mistake for me because I had QUITE the UGLY cry, that movie just tears me up. It was another amazing day on the ship, despite Lauren not feeling 100% but the sleep did her well and she was fine the rest of the cruise. We couldn’t wait to wake up and experience another day on the Dream!
