Oh my goodness... all of the adult beverages! I would love to know your total bill for those by the end of the trip! How fun!

I am loving all of the pictures of pure happiness.

And the Boardwalk!? LOVE IT! We just secured the BWV for our June trip where we are taking Matt's parents, and his brother's family. All of us in a 2BR at BWV! Can't wait.

Great start to your trip report! We were in Disney last month (I still can't believe the trip is over) and your pictures of EPCOT are bringing back good memories. We also ate & drank around World Showcase enjoying all the yummy offerings at the F&WF. *sigh*

And your comment about your Crocs hurting your feet --- I had that problem this year too. I've worn Crocs during several trips but the new pair I bought this year ("Patricia" style) really rubbed my feet and caused terrible pain. I still have scars!

What a great start you had! Teppan Edo is so, so yummy. I've eaten there three times and it never disappoints. Did you have a funny chef? I bet DVC does really feel like home. That's awesome.

Oh, I could SO go for some Teppan Edo right now. Our Chef wasn't funny but she was entertaining : )

We've got our first no kids trip planned for January. I know I'm gonna experience some of the same momma guilt/apprehension as well but reading your TR is just gonna reaffirm what a great thing a no kids trip can be!

I'm not judging...just jealous. I can't wait for my wife and I to do just what you did.

BTW, our last trip we too stayed at the Boardwalk. In your pic on the balcony, our room is in the background. Top floor, 3 window in from the left.

My son absolutely loved the BW, cause it was a 10 Friendship ride to HS and at extra magic hours you could ride TSM again and again and again and.......you get the picture.

I have been having some really awful weeks at work, and reading a good TR like your with great pics totally lifted my spirits tonight! Hi! Mind if I join in? My husband and I have been on two trips to the world without the kids and have had a fabulous time. It always gives me such a deep appreciation for things I miss while chasing after my three year old but also excitement for returing with the kids. Can't wait to hear more!

Gosh - how did I miss the Christmas tree at America? I did see the one where World Showcase starts. It wasn't there when we got there - I figured they would wait until the Food & Wine Festival closed up shop. Then I think it was Tuesday morning it was there in all its glory. Can you imagine putting something that massive up in the wee hours of the morning?

That' sfunny, I don't know how you missed it : ) No, have you seen the special on t.v. where they show them decorating that night? It's a great one!

Isn't DVC great. We just became members and our first trip is not till October but so happy we did it.

The Grey Goose Slushie had me drooling.

Welcome!!! Tim and Bryan sure do love the yankees : ) It is a hipster, not sure of the pattern but it's on sale on the Vera website right now : ) I think they have the drink on teh Tokyo dining menu as well.

So, when I left you Tim and I were enjoying a nice romantic evening in our room together, WITHOUT KIDS! The next morning we got up and enjoyed a leisurely breakfast in the room (Tim made coffee and we ate the yummy cinnamon loaves we got from the Boardwalk Bakery the night before). We met Diane and Bryan down by the pool around 8:15 to walk over to Hollywood Studios for rope drop.

We began our leisurely stroll over to Hollywood studios, have I mentioned how the location of the Boardwalk ROCKS!!!

It was such a beautiful morning, we were enjoying wearing our shorts and not missing the cold temps back home.

Apparently a sprinkler malfunctioned : )

Before we knew it we could see Hollywood Studios on the horizon:

I was excited to see it decorated for Christmas and had to stop for a pic in front of the pretty tree:

We weaseled our way up to the front of the line.

Well……….. we thought we were in the front, there were several turnstyles and we lined up behind one and then the CM came out and announced they were only using one of them, NOT the one we were lined up behind but he told us to stay there they would take turns between our turnstyle and the other one letting people in. There was a lady in the line with the working turnstyle who got VERY aggravated at us when they did this, there was a lot of hemming and hawing and SIGHING but I was trying not to let her ruin our mood.
Before we knew it we were inside of the gates and I was just soaking in the decorations:

I kinda felt bad for Tim, earlier that morning he said “I can’t wait to experience Disney with low crowds”, well it was crowded the whole time we were there this trip but we still had a great time. Here we are with the masses for rope drop:

We had one mission that day, to ride Toy Story Mania as much as possible, so that’s where we headed (with the MASSES!)
I just enjoyed the decorations as we strolled……..who I am kidding, SPRINTED!

I don’t know about you, but I love the sight of army men in the morning : )

The guys were definitely bringing their A game, because by the time Diane and I made it to the standby entrance the guys had already scored Fast Passes, they were the first at the turnstyle, so we headed inside. The guys instantly started talking strategy:

Diane and I said we wanted to play for fun, so it was a girls ride and a boys ride:

We had a lot of fun playing the game together, here were our scores (I’m on the left : )

Tim got the high score for the car:

After that was over we decided to head over to the Tower of Terror/ Rockin’ Roller Coaster side of the park. Once again I lagged behind as they walked quickly ahead (definitely a theme for our trip) and snapped pictures of the holiday décor:

We headed to my FAVORITE ride on property:

Wait time was only 10 minutes so we hopped in line:

We both wanted to wait for the first car (in my opinion the ONLY way to ride this ride):
Diane and Bryan went first:

We went second (can you see the pure joy in my face that this ride gives me……….Tim was judging me : )

Then we walked over to Tower of Terror, the wait time posted was 13, thought that was cute:

It was an awesome ride as always. I was bummed that they took the image of yourself away that they had in place for summer night-tastic, I wish they would just keep those things instead of getting rid of them, but I digress, it was a rockin’ ride!!!
When we came out Diane looked up and noticed construction on the side of the building, don’t know what that was about, but glad it didn’t close down the ride:

After this Tim and I wanted to shop around in the stores for a bit and Diane got a text that some friends from back home were in the park, so they went and met up with them and we shopped around. We found some CUTE clothes, Tim took some notes for me for Christmas : )
We headed over to meet up with Diane and Bryan and saw some entertainers along the way:

Then we headed to Toy Story Mania to meet up with Diane and Bryan for another ride and we scored another set for later:

On our way we saw the soldiers lining lots of kids up for some drills, it was so cute, I knew the kids would have loved that if they were there:

I rode with Tim this time

The reason why I stress when I ride with Tim is he is intense on “unlocking” the boards with the secrets he knows, he talked me through them and we did get a few, my favorite is the alien board, that was fun.
But as you can see from my score I did WORSE this time because I was so concentrated on unlocking the boards:

Still an awesome time though, just LOVE that ride!
Then we went over to take the drawing class that I wanted to take without the kids. Unfortunately there was a LONG line for it and we wouldn’t have gotten into the next class so we had to skip out for sake of our lunch reservation and wanting to ride Toy Story again. We walked through the gift shop and I had to take a pic of these freaky dolls, they just don’t seem right to me (sorry for those of you who may collect these, they just wig me out : )

Then it was time to head over to our lunch reservation at Sci Fi.
I took more pics of holiday decorations as we strolled:

I was SO excited to come back this night to see Osborne lights, here we are BEFORE the lights rocked my world:

I guess I decided the snowman was lonely : )

It was funny, as I posed for that picture (for awhile while Tim fiddled with the camera) Diane said “WOW, that guy in the window sure got an eyeful” hahahahaha!!!
Then we arrived at Sci Fi for our reservation. They took the car away from the outside so I had Bryan and Tim pose in the new area:

We were seated quickly and Tim and I couldn’t resist:

Our waitress was awesome, she took some cute car pics of us:

We had a great meal, we stuck to the basics of hamburgers and fries- it was all good and our waitress took good care of us. We had adult beverages with our lunch and I was so excited that our waitress carded me and didn’t believe me when she saw my license, maybe that’s why I loved her so much : )
After lunch we wanted to shop around a bit so Tim and I hit the stores on the main drag, on our way I stopped to take a picture of the new Disney show for Lauren, I hope this is still going this summer because she will LOVE it!

I picked up my one and only gift for myself for the trip:

Our feet were a bit sore and we had time on our side so we took the boat back to the resort:

We went upstairs and enjoyed some down time, a little snooze and got ready for our BIG night out at Osborne lights and more drinking/eating around the world. Here I am showered and ready for fun:

I am going to stop there. We had SO much fun at Osborne lights and we have SO many photo’s that I don’t want to rush that part of the trip report but figured you’d want me to do this update instead of waiting for the WHOLE thing. So……… stay tuned for more fun times to come!!!

I looked for you guys, since I was there that week as well - I'll probably see myself in one of your pictures, or vice versa.

We were surprised with the crowds as well - it wasn't as crowded as summer, and we really only waited 15-20 minutes for most rides, but that was more than we figured. I guess the word is out about that time of year.

Sounds like a great day so far. I love the location of the Boardwalk and the ability to walk to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Makes things so much easier.
