Timandlesley’s how to win a dream in 10 days 11/15 NEW PTR UP!! pg. 94 has link!!!

Haven't posted in a while, but I've enjoyed your last couple updates - as always. Our experience with San Angel was the same as yours - but the girls didn't even like it so that made it even worse having to listen to them whine the whole time. Not a pleasant experience. And the worst waiter we've ever had!

Innoventions looks like a lot of fun. The Velcro show especially. We haven't been in there in two or three years. Add it to my list for next time. I could spend days and days at Epcot!

Can't wait to hear the rest. Although what am I going to do with myself when the TimandLesley report is over? Just tell Tim I'll have to read other TRs.

We had a great time getting together with you all in Grand Haven. Fun to share the Disney experiences and get to know you all a little bit. Still no decision on DVC for us. I've been busy back at work and haven't had much time to think about much else. I'll PM you this weekend.

Alice

Isn't it nice that your kids are old enough to enjoy those little 'gems' you speak of? Thanks for sharing... those are things I never knew about!! Always something new at Disney, eh?

Sorry to hear about Mexico... Matt really wants to eat there because the atmosphere is so cool...we may need to reconsider after hearing about your (and lots of others') terrible food!!:sad2:

Love the pictures, love the updates!

Great update (as always)! Lauren looked lovely in all of her jewels!

We love exploring all the neat things at Epcot! Looks like you had a lot of fun playing at Innoventions, Imagination, and Club Cool!

Such a shame about San Angel! I always read that it is not the greatest even though that setting makes me think about eating there everytime!

Were you able to make your reservation for Kidani this morning? I am dying to hear how that went!

What a lovely morning, we must explore Innoventions more it looks so much fun :)

I'm so pleased we don't really like Mexican food as we won't ever be tempted to book SA :rotfl:

I've been a little MIA, but I have been trying to check in here and there - I'm all caught up and have really enjoyed your updates!

**So cool that Luke was chosen! My nephew Luke, 8, tried so hard from the front row last Summer, and 2 kids on each side of him were chosen - he handled it all with grace, though.

**What's with all the Sundaes? They should give kids another choice. Most of the menus are mac and cheese, chicken strips or hot dogs, too.

**Lauren looked so cute with her face painted - glad she enjoyed Playhouse Disney - we just saw it at DL, they do a really good job!

**Sorry about the meltdown - what's a vacation without at least one?

**You got to ride TSM 3 times!!  That ride is so fun!!!

Sorry your report is almost over - time to start planning a new trip!!!! DVC will be great! :thumbsup2

Great update! That velcro demo in Epcot looks like soooo much fun!:thumbsup2 Sorry that San Angel was so horrible:sad2: It stinks when there are so many GREAT restaurants to try and then you get a bad one:headache: On a different note, did you make your Kidani ressie yesterday? We did, we got a savannah view studio for 3 nights that we are tacking on to the end of our SSR stay!:cool1: Hope you had a nice time at the wedding!:goodvibes

That Velcro show looks pretty fun! I can't wait to check it out. Sorry about the crapy mexican food. I so wanted to try to switch one of our meals for there, but I think I will just keep what I have now!

Looking forwanrd to the next installment!
It was so fun, you should definitely check it out! Next installment coming TONIGHT!
Oh I forgot. Have you guys ever done the waterparks? Just wondered!! DH and I did them before we had kids. And now DS LOVES water things, so we are going to do them again in a couple weeks!!
No, we haven't, we have a great one here at Kings Island, we will but probably when the kids get a bit older, they look like fun!
so glad I changed that ressie. I read many bad reviews and decided not to keep it. Biff also does not like Mexican so not on his list of things to do.

great update and pics.
Glad you changed it too!

I know I don't post much but I check your TR every evening for an update. I love following along; reminds me to cherish the memories I have of our trips and gets me excited about the ones yet to come. I love that you're including more pics of food on this TR. I was pondering San Angel Inn and your review is really helpful.

I can't believe you're getting your class ready! I had to buy school supplies last weekend because school starts here in Mason on the 20th. Where is the summer going? I have been so swamped with work that it is quickly passing me by! But it's also bringing me closer to my Jan trip. :)

I can't believe your TR is almost over. :sad1: Lovin' the cliffhangers. popcorn::
Well, thanks for reading and posting. The summer is going SO FAST! I teach in Mason if you didn't know, got my classroom all ready, my open house is on the 18th. TR update coming tonight.

Thanks Leslie! Sleeping before your wedding day irs really hard..lol (especially when it is being followed by Disney). I'm gonna try to take some pm's and get some rest. See you all when I get back!!!
I hope you are having a great honey moon!
Your Epcot morning sounds wonderful. Sorry about San Angel Inn :scared: sounds disgusting. It definately won't be on my list. I think the CS place in mexico is good though. I :sad2: can't believe your trippie is almost done.
I really was wonderful minus the food, oh well. I can't believe it either!

Wow! Didn't know about the velcro stuff in Epcot! We'll have to check that out. Love those little pieces of magic when you find them!

Sorry about San Angel Inn...I've been hearing really horrific reviews of the food and service there in the last several months. :confused3 We've always enjoyed our food there but wonder if something is going on with the internal workings and management.

Can't wait to hear about your last night!
I think the velcro stuff was new, it was where the robots used to be, not as good as robots but good.

Oh the things we can learn from the T&L crew!
cool things in inovations and stay away from the giant taco bell in epcot :)
So glad we can give you some insight ; )
Great update! It's so sad that you only have half a day left. :sad2: Sorry about the San Angel Inn. We tried it about a month ago on our trip and really enjoyed the food. We went for dinner though, so that may play a part in it. And so may interest in the food (as well as where you come from, seeing as we're 4 hours from the border). Can't wait for your next update.
So sad it's almost over too, but hang on tight, best is yet to come!

Another great update! We spent a whole day in Innoventions back in 2005 and missed all that stuff! Was that in Innoventions East or West? I can't believe how much there is to do in Innoventions alone, I love Epcot!

Sorry about the food at the San Angel Inn. We've have ADR's there for the past three years but always wound up cancelling them and now I'm glad we did. We have awesome Mexican restaurants around here so it sounds like we'd be disappointed too. I'll cross that one off our list for next time. Thanks for the review!

Definitely looking forward to more
I think it was West, I never pay attention, I just love Innoventions. more coming tonight!

Thanks for another great update!!! :thumbsup2

Glad to hear that you had such a great day, but a horrible lunch at the San Angel Inn. I LOVE Mexican food, so we tried the restaurant a few years back for dinner. Unfortunately, we had the same experience as you. I was not impressed with the food either and we probably won't be back.

Sad that your report will be coming to an end soon, but I'm excited for the next update!

How's Mickey adjusting to his new home?

Thanks for asking, Mickey is AWESOME! We just love him, he's doing so good with potty training and we already taught him how to sit, YEAH!
Finally all caught up! I am so sad that this TR is coming to an end though.

I completely agree with your review of San Angel Inn...One year we went, and I couldn't eat any of the food we ordered, so I asked the waiter to just bring out some white rice...and that is all I had for dinner...it probably didn't help that we had gone Mission Space right before, so my stomach wasn't feeling it...haha

Oh yes, and your dog Mickey is such a cutie pie, he looks so lovable!! Can't wait to hear about the rest of your trip! :goodvibes
I can't believe it is ending either, but already booked next years trip so more to come eventually. Thanks for reading/posting

So funny about the Kodak girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Definitely a small world!

Too bad about your meal at San Angel Inn! It is so dark in there! I ate there years ago, maybe 2001 and I couldn't tell if my steak was cooked to my liking! I like to see that there is no red, barely pink if you know what I mean! It wasn't terrible but we haven't been back and prolly won't anytime soon. The theming is soo cool though! Bad food and too dark.

Your family is so adorable! I can't wait to see what is next!
Isn't that halarious about the kodak girl. Thanks for the compliments, you are too sweet.

Great update! I didn't realize Epcot had all those hidden gems! Love the Lesley animals! Sorry about the meal at San Angel. We enjoyed the counter service there last year so we will definitely stick with that and not waste a TS! Tim's hidden Mickey was too funny! Tell Luke I agree, I think I saw a hidden Mickey there too!
That is why we love Epcot, we discover something new like that every time, just love that park! I will tell Luke ; )

Yes, always something new, that's why we keep coming back. Yes, I would skip Mexico, the atmosphere is great but not worth the food, yuck! Thanks for the flair on facebook by the way ; )

That is what we did when we bought into DVC we went at the end on nov right after thanksgiving for 6 nights and now we are going for 8 nights in just 6 days. But 17 nights sound great but DH could never leave work for that long. We also stayed in one bedrooms which are nice because of the washer and dryer. That is the fun thing about buying into DVC you get those bonus points in the beginning.

17 nights! That is so awesome. Did you get a 1 bedroom or a studio? How does that work with park tickets? Do you have to get an AP?

Yes sharon you ar right Christmas is breath taking, the decorations the trees I have pictures of my kids with cinderella in the castle and the tree is in the background. The castle at night with all of the lights. However the party was not that great the Halloween party beat it. If I had a choice to do another Holiday I would pick Halloween because my kids had a blast trick or treating in the MK. It was a wonderful experience. My husband and I were discussing maybe coming for a short trip for Halloween but my little guy is to small maybe next year or the year after.

OH MY GOSH!!! I am TOTALLY jealous that you get to stay for 17 nights. How completely awesome is that!!! Good for you.:cheer2:

So…………….. I left off with us returning back to the Wilderness Lodge around 3 pm on an EMPTY bus. I headed to the counter to see where our charges stood and how we were doing financially heading into the final stretch of our trip. GREAT NEWS, we were about 100 dollars UNDER budget so I was excited. I shared the news with Tim and the kids when we returned to the room. We were sitting in bed debating what park to go to on our final night and what we wanted to do. Tim looked at me and said, that 100 bucks would easily allow us to go out on our own one more night and the kids could go back to the Cubs Den like they’ve been begging to do. HUH??? Could we really do that???? It threw me at first but then it sounded REALLY GOOD!!!! We asked the kids and we kept emphasizing, THIS IS OUR LAST NIGHT HERE GUYS, they still wanted to go to the Cubs Den, quite honestly they were wiped and wanted a night to relax. Lauren said “kids need a break too” which cracked us up. Tim called down and they had room available. SO TIM AND I GOT ANOTHER NIGHT OUT BY OURSELVES, this was pure heaven. We dropped the kids off around 4:30 and headed to Hollywood Studios, YEAH BABY!!
Here’s Tim at the entrance;

We headed towards TOT and Rockin’ Roller Coaster to see if there was any prayer of getting a Fast pass for them. On our way we stopped for this photo:
DSC01893Small.jpg

We lucked out and got a FP for TOT with a return time of around 8 something so that was perfect, UNFORTUNATEY Rockin’ Roller Coaster had return times of around 9:30 and the wait was over 60 min. not something we wanted to waste our precious time doing, so we forged ahead. We headed to Toy Story Mania. All week we had been cursing the Single Riders line- it is seriously so messed up on this ride, that people would avoid the FP issue (nearly impossible to get one unless there at rope drop) or avoid the 2 hour waits by simply going through the Single Rider line which is EXACTLY the same as the FP line. Well, we decided to give it a try. We were upset when the CM informed us they weren’t excepting single riders tonight due to the rides long wait times, which I respect, but come on, we had seen it been done all week. THIS CM ROCKED THOUGH…. She said “well, do you want to come back later and ride?” Uh……………. Yes!!!! She handed us FP’s with an 8:20 return time, SCORE!
Here is a happy Tim with our Toy Story FP’s:
DSC01894Small.jpg

We were so thrilled, things were lining up for our big night out. We walked by the Back Lot Tour, something we had yet to do this trip and decided to do that, Tim and I in line for that:
DSC01895Small.jpg

Here is our driver, he was awesome:
DSC01897Small.jpg

Funny story………. As our ride was ending Tim we passed by the loading dock for the tram and Tim said “is that our drivers TWIN or something??” I didn’t see who he was referring too, suddenly the people behind us realized it too and said to the driver “do you have a twin brother who works here too?” He said “Yes, actually I do and that’s him right there!” Pointing to the guy that Tim was talking about. What fun to be working in Disney with your twin brother on the same ride.
Anyway, back to the ride, I just love this ride. Here’s my pic of the new Hollywood Studios tower:

Then it came time for CATASTROPHE CANYON!!!!!!!!!!!
DSC01907Small.jpg

Oh no…………….. what’s gonna happen???
DSC01908Small.jpg

Here came the gushes of water:
DSC01910Small.jpg

Such fun!
That’s one beat up Herbie:
DSC01911Small.jpg

Then it was time for Tim and I to experience a nice SIT DOWN meal out together, ahhhhhhhhhhh heaven. We headed to Mama Melrose for our reservation.
Here is Tim at the table:
DSC01914Small.jpg

We ordered drinks to celebrate an awesome trip. Tim got the glowtini and I got a glass of red wine. This is my attempt of taking a self portrait of us with our drinks, I must have some long arms huh?
DSC01915Small.jpg

I ordered the focasia appetizer, YUM
DSC01916Small.jpg

Tim had the calamari which he loved:
DSC01917Small.jpg

Every time we go to this restaurant I order the Penne Ala Vodka, It is soooooooo yummy!!!!
DSC01918Small.jpg

Tim ordered, no surprise here, steak:
DSC01919Small.jpg

The desert was awesome, we both got the chocolate cake with the goey yumminess inside:
DSC01923Small.jpg

Yeah……………. That was gone FAST!!!
DSC01924Small.jpg

Tim had fun creating secret messages for you guys:
DSC01925Small.jpg

And, he had extra time to create some hidden Mickey’s too : )
DSC01926Small.jpg

DSC01927Small.jpg

This was such a nice dinner out, what a treat, such fun!
