Timandlesley’s how to win a dream in 10 days 11/15 NEW PTR UP!! pg. 94 has link!!!

We all have meltdown, even adults. We had our last year at MGM:headache:

But like you, we worked it out and recovered.

Looks like you had a great time at Coral Reef. So glad you were able to surprise Tim with the menu and diver and that you made it back despite Lauren having to go a lot  :goodvibes

That chocolate wave looked good..,mm

Too funny about tim's imitation of bus driver:laughing:

PUKE

I am so glad to know that I'm not the only one suspicious of the ECVs. I know some of them are really necessary but come on ........:headache: We have always done the busses but because of those darn things we may rent a car and risk getting lost...:confused3

Thanks for the TR it gave me something to read while ALL the boys were in bed...

Glad that you informed us about the tattoo...I will try and avoid this especially with Dylan who is 4 and will not understand while Lighting McQueen is "disappearing". (Just an FYI when McDonald's Happy Meals had POC stuff I saved all of the temp. tattoo that the boys got....we will be using them...) :thumbsup2

It's so funny that you and Tim got into an argument. Not that anyone arguing is funny. But Brian and I had a similar conversation the other night. I asked him if it is possible to "plan too much??" He said "yes, that everything is not going to go as planned." He also said that there will be arguments....yelling....people going there own directions...and then we will forget about it and go about our day." How true is that...especially when you have been together for so long?? LOL

Wow.....Goofy's Candy Company....3 for 1 and only one snack credit. That's pretty awesome... :cool1:

That margarita you had sure looked yummy.... I can just taste it now... :cloud9:

Is it hard to schedule something special for an anniversary? I think that I might try and plan something for mine and Brian's dinner at Les Chef de France. We will be celebrating our 13 wedding anniversary during our trip. The boys will be at the Neverland Club. Our first table dinner alone in the "world" :worship:

All I can say about the vomit is......."YUCK!!!!"

I can't believe your trip is almost over....bummer

Hi there Lesley,

Another terrific installment!! Great job :thumbsup2

You are not the only family who has at least one meltdown at WDW ;) DH and I always get into one major fight while we are there. I think the last time it happened we were in Epcot in England when our youngest DD went missing after everyone in our party 'thought' the other had her. She ended up in the tea store with me panic-stricken and everyone else watching 'The British Invasion' thinking she was with me or my mother-in-law :confused3 Holy smokes! As much as it wasn't my poor DH's fault (it was all of our faults, really), I took it out on him. He and I didn't speak for 45 minutes (at least all through the O' Canada film, and about 20 minutes at Le Cellier). My FIL got us to talking again and we made up (the only 'scar' my DD has is that she still tells the story that she didn't wander off-but we left her--yeah right...at least we can all laugh about it).

Like I said before, another great installment--man, I am going to be so bummed when your TR is over, I can't imagine how you guys felt.

Waiting patiently for the next chapter (hopefully not the last)...popcorn::

Awsome update! I'm sad that i is coming to an end though. It seems all the reports I am subscribed to are ending. Luckily I am going on my disneymoon in a week and i get to write one of my own when I get back:banana:

Don't feel bad about you and Tim's "spat!" DH and I have one every trip..it's usually on the way to the buses after being in the parks all day. We end up taking different buses back to the resort and that seems to cure it..I guess we just need that 20m. break from eachother!! Then all is well again. :goodvibes

Another fun day!

Don't worry, EVERYONE has at least one family bad moment while at Disney. It all just gets to you, you know? Unfortunately we tend to take things out on the ones we love.

We're trying CR for the first time next trip....can't wait! If I want to increase my chances of a seat by the tanks, should I check in early or should I add this request to my reservation?

Great update! I love leisure time in DTD. So fun! Everyone's right, don't feel bad about the spat, it happens to everyone!

What a great dinner you had at Coral Reef. I've never been there and must put it on my to do list! Lauren's potty breaks were hilarous!

I can't believe it's almost over! Noooooooo! hehe

Dontcha hate it when those spats happen? But they do and you're right MOST people have them at one point or another. My DH and I had one on our first visit to Mexico. He walked away from me on a street in Cozumel! But, you were good to apologize. Good job Leslie!:thumbsup2
O.K. EEEWWW about the puke! How do you not see that when you're walking? Oh wait... TEENAGER!:lmao: I think sometimes those ECV parties get too huge. Like hey grandma's in a wheelchair, so let's get the whole famdamnly and go to Disneyworld!!!
So sad your trip is coming to an end. How's Mickey doing??

Great update---GREAT Anniversary celebration!!!! I loved the menu you had made--too cute!

So sorry you and Tim had a spat, but HEY, they happen--even to the best of us! But all great couples know the key to getting over it and moving on in a quick manner!!

The vomit story made me laugh SO hard---along with Tim's Oscar-worthy performance of the bus driver talk!!! TOO FUNNY!!! At least you all were able to find a way to laugh it out!!!

Hate that the TR is almost over, but hey, then you can start a PTR for your next one!!! YEAH!!!

Welcome Mickey Home for all of us today!!! Congrats on your new baby!

I can't wait to see Pictures of your little Mickey :)

great update... yep our "spat" was at DTD too, and the kids melt downs were there also! (I think I left it out of my TR :rolleyes1 )

super cool with the menus and diver!

Great installment! Well aside from the meltdown but glad you worked through it! We did the diver/menu last trip too and it is a really neat thing, especially considering it is FREE!

Allyson

I am going to book a night out just for DH and I. I have been going back and forth on whether to put the kidlets in daycare and head out for an evening and I kept telling myself "this is a family vacation - I can't leave my kids". but after reading what a fun night you guys had and how much your kids loved the daycare - I'm doing it!!!!

I think we'll all enjoy it.

I'm loving your trip report - thank you for sharing your time with us -and giving us some tips to follow for our trip.

This is when Tim and I got super slap happy and he kept saying “Hello, this is driver Bob, we’ve got vomit everywhere, 15,000 ECV’s to load, people are setting themselves on fire… it’s really bad over here guys”. Tim went on and on with these elaborate “driver calling it in” stories for the people standing around us and we were all dying laughing- made the time go fast anyway.

:rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2: Wow, that made me just about choke on my lunch...That's hilarious...I can only imagine how funny it would have been in person!

Great update by the way. I can't believe that it's almost over...Noooooooooo!:sad2:

:grouphug: That's a big hug for making me laugh so much!!!!

Lauren's burps and potty breaks, Luke's face when trying the Beverly, Tim and the bus driver talk, and the vomit....that face he made was priceless!!

:rotfl2:

I'm so glad you were able to work through the meltdown. Glad Tim stayed close. Everyone has those moments, and you handled it well.

That dinner looked great! Glad Luke got his Mahi Mahi again. And your menu came out great!! I got nervous when you said you had to go to the bathroom again and might miss your diver! I'm SO glad you made it back and that Tim was surprised!

That was such a fun day! Can you show us pictures of your purchases? :thumbsup2 I bet all that looks great in your kitchen!

Can't WAIT to see your new golden, Mickey! By now you should have him...how exciting that must be for the whole family!!! :goodvibes

I really am sad to see this come to an end. Can you stretch it out for another 43 days or so? (that's when I leave) :rotfl:

:scratchin Maybe if all your readers chip in $5, we can send you to WDW again! (There's got to be hundreds of people reading, right?) Got time to go before school starts?

Great installment as usual! :goodvibes

I can't wait for my son to try Beverly at Club Cool. We totally missed it last year!

great update...every family does have there meltdown moment in disney~ Atleast everyone I know.
How much were the fake tattoos in DTD?? heath and Javen may want one.
Glad you had a great meal at coral reef, I wish we would have had a better experiance there last year...I just have no desire to go there again.
YUK @ the puke!! LOL @ Tims face though
The tatto was around 8-10 dollars if I remember correctly, its more for the color and glitter which of course they want since that's how it looks on the sign.

I'm so glad you didn't miss the diver and that Tim was so surprised with the menu. Sounds like you pulled off a perfect surprise.
I'm not looking forward to the heat myself and truth be told I think I'll be the one having the meltdown and not the kids
So sorry too that the tr is coming to an end. It's so fun to write because it doesn't really feel like the trip is over until the tr is done.
Looking forward to more and can't wait to see more of Mickey when you pick him up.
I'm so glad I didn't miss the diver either, it was a close call. I'll post pics of Mickey soon.

Yay!! Another update. We always have some familt meltdown too. My IL's are coming this year with us, so I can almost guarantee a meltdown fight will happen at some point. LOL

Glad you had a nice time at Coral Reef. Our last time there wasn't very good, and we aren't going again this year becasue of it. It was our waiter. He sucked!!

Can't believe your TR is almost done!
Glad you enjoyed the update. Sorry about your waiter, bummer!

NO! I refuse to believe that we are so close to the end of you TR!

Another great installment. I'm glad that you guys got past the "spat" and had a great anniversary dinner. Tim is a riot. He cracks me up on the board I can't imagine meeting him IRL. How much was the tattoo in DTD? My boys love fake tattoos and my youngest LOVES Lightening McQueen.

Can't wait for more!
Still have a few more posts yet so don't panic. The DTD tattoo was like 8-10 bucks depending on how many colors and glitter you added if I remember right.

Great update Lesley! You are not alone in your Disney trip meltdown! I have been there too, in downtown Disney as a matter of fact. I was waiting in line at the Lego store that was literally 30-40 people long while Bryan and the boys looked around well after about 35 minutes I don't see them anywhere Turns out they paid at the register IN THE BACK DTD was PACKED because all the world cheerleaders were there. I LOST it and Bryan got mad but then left us and surprised us with ice cream to apologize Glad you guys were able to make up fairly quickly and salvage the rest of the day Matthew saw Luke with the mahi mahi and said "He ate it again!" Then he said "I guess I will next time too":rotfl: We also cracked up at Luke's face with the Beverly Lauren was too funny with her "drunked too much pop":goodvibes
That's funny, glad I'm not the only ones. Glad Matthew enjoyed the update!
Lesley

He looked at all of us and said, don’t worry, I’m calling this in and you will be taken’ care of, at this point we doubted it as they pulled away.

:lmao: This sounds like something my dh and I would be doing! You just have to find the humor in certain situations. I have so enjoyed reading your trip report.
It was so super funny, I should have video taped him, he went on and on and it got more elaborate with each story, so funny!
Great update Lesley!!!!

I can't wait to try Coral Reef on my trip!

What was Tim drinking?
Tim said it was called "I've been with my kids too long and this is the best drink ever drink" but we don't remember the name;)

The DTD meltdown, every family has a meltdown at Disney , I know I did in March. Love the Coral reef pics, it's my 2nd favorite restaurant in Disney after california grill. We booked Coral reef for October, can't wait. The puke/bus driver story is grose & hysterical. Love Tim's stroller tag, I say that every trip (I really want another day) every trip . Have fun with your new puppy tomorrow!
Glad you enjoyed the update, thanks for reading/posting

awesome meal at Coral Reef!!!
Glad the day turned out better
Thanks!
you guys arguing is not a result of the june heat - it's a result of being married! when you're not used to being around someone 24/7, you will eventually have an argument. it happened with me and ray at epcot when he fed the birds in mexico....i LOST it! but the beauty of being married is you are experts at making up! ;)

my sister did the whole personalized menu and diver-with-the-sign thing at coral reef and both yours and hers turned out so good! it's so cool that they offer this free of charge.

about the puke.........MISSION SPACE STRIKES AGAIN!!!!!! i guarantee you whoever lost it had rode mission space (orange side) within an hour before they puked. it doesn't bother me but we saw so many people outside of that ride sitting down with their head between their legs like they were gonna be sick.

you're on your last day? i can't believe it!!!! pretty funny because i'm starting my last day now and we went a month before you guys and only stayed 6 days! i just don't update as often, i guess. what a great trip you've had though!
Too funny and too true. I agree with the Mission Space comment, very well could have been. Last FULL day is the update next then I still have a half day at MK that you HAVE to stay tuned for ; )
I cant believe your TR is almost over!! But just think, thanks to your DVC membership you'll be back before you know it!
Exactly, get to book next years trip on August 10th ; )

All I can say is thank goodness I am going to Disney in 17 days after reading your TR because if I wasn't I would be really depressed. Also glad you enjoyed Coral Reef last time I went there my husband and I were not impressed. I asked for a table near the tanks and we were set all the way on top no where near the tanks my kids were really upset they wanted to see the fish and our food was just ok my husband does not want to go there again. Also don't worry about the meltdown last time we were there in Nov I thought I was ready for Divorce court LOL.

Jeanine
That's so funny, knew I wasn't the only one : )

Oh NOOOOOOOOOOO, the end can't be near, it just can't be!!
Your TR's are too much fun to end! Oh well, it sounds like ya
saved the best for last so I anxiously await your next post!;)
I can't believe it's near either, bummer!

great update and pics.

How did you get the menu? who did you contact if I may ask?
I contacted the manager, her name is Debbie I got her contact info here on the Dis.

We all have meltdown, even adults. We had our last year at MGM:headache:

But like you, we worked it out and recovered.

Looks like you had a great time at Coral Reef. So glad you were able to surprise Tim with the menu and diver and that you made it back despite Lauren having to go a lot

Too funny about tim's imitation of bus driver

PUKE
I was glad I was able to pull off the surprise too. Glad you enjoyed the update!

Looks like a wonderful day and the surprises you did for Tim were awesome!!!
It was a wonderful day!
I am so glad to know that I'm not the only one suspicious of the ECVs. I know some of them are really necessary but come on ........:headache: We have always done the busses but because of those darn things we may rent a car and risk getting lost...
Tim and I think they should limit it to 2 family members per ECV, I mean, come on, I am sure they need assistance but TWENTY family members is a bit ridiculous!

Thanks for the TR it gave me something to read while ALL the boys were in bed...

Glad that you informed us about the tattoo...I will try and avoid this especially with Dylan who is 4 and will not understand while Lighting McQueen is "disappearing". Glad you enjoyed it. Just call ahead about 180-90 days in advance and add it to your reservation. You could have a cake ordered and delivered there too, sounds like a good plan.

You will love CR, if you have ANY type of special occassion I recommend the diver and requesting tank side, otherwise put it on your reservation.

Great update! I love leisure time in DTD. So fun! Everyone's right, don't feel bad about the spat, it happens to everyone!

What a great dinner you had at Coral Reef. I've never been there and must put it on my to do list! Lauren's potty breaks were hilarous!

That's funny. Yes, ECV parties should be limited to two, the rest can wait with the rest of us! Mickey's AWESOME, pics to come tonight.

:grouphug: That's a big hug for making me laugh so much!!!!

Lauren's burps and potty breaks, Luke's face when trying the Beverly, Tim and the bus driver talk, and the vomit....that face he made was priceless!!

Great installment as usual! :goodvibes

I can't wait for my son to try Beverly at Club Cool. We totally missed it last year!
Gotta get a pic of him trying it!

How is Mickey!! I bet the kids are soooooooooo excited!:thumbsup2 I hope we get to see pictures!:goodvibes
We are all sooooooo excited, we've done nothing but play with him and love on him all day long, pics to come.
